Are you referring to a clip on or flip up fullface? The chin piece may break off or dislodge in a bad crash. It's not as good as a true fullface.

Since its pretty much a half face when you remove or flip up the chin piece, I don't see why they wouldn't allow it. I don't think it's a good substitute for a proper fullface though.

Above attached is the Full face helmet with flip up type

I saw someone using Full face helmet with flip up type, but as i notice the new helmets come with the clip on the 1st attachment. so just wondering if cdc approve it or not

Thanks

Lane splitting at high speed is not inconsiderate. It's risky. Please read properly @timewalker

Haha! I thought that perhaps living amongst denizens of a fairer society might mellow your combative nature. Evidently not ;)

Firstly that comment was not directed at you. It was intended for someone who could appreciate the context of my comment.

Secondly, if you were stating a fact and what I said was contrary to the truth of that fact, you could rightly say that I have not read your post carefully. However, yours is a statement of opinion, which I am not bound by. I happen to believe that lanesplitting in high speed traffic is both risky and inconsiderate, and thus I am not bound to concur with your statement am I? ;)

That aside, how's NZ treating you?

Haha! We're too similar in many ways, you and I. Arrogant know-it-alls who piss off the world at large :)

Yup German car engineering is unparalleled! Just like their soccer seems to be these days.

Iirc, instructor did mention during orientation that helmets cannot be clip type. Must be ring type.

Correct -the rule is you need a double D-ring helmet. Modular helmets are allowed though.
