:p hit two IFs on my lesson 8. Change lane on the zig zag section just before you leave the school ... and apparently failed to give way to right of way traffic (i think at the blind wall section)...

Also accumulated 12 points along the way.

Was my first lesson 8 - so a little kancheong, forgot to off signal, mistakes here and there.

Key lessons i took away :-

- when you are leaving the circuit to head on the road section of your test, change lane only after the zig zag section ...

- when you are preparing to turn right on the first traffic light junction after the school (i.e. your light is green but you need to give way to opposing traffig going straight), make sure you inch your bike out completely to clear the pedestrian crossing area...

Question i have - on the blind wall junction when we are turning right to head to the slope or plank course, if there is a car on your right signalling to turn left... you can cross once the car starts to turn left...

What happens if it is 2 cars signalling to turn left? can i cross the junction once the first car initiates his turn?

Dont kan cheong. Tk it easy & most importantly be confident. Keyword there. Play music or songs in your head if it helps calm you down. Keep focus on that whatever activity immediately in front of you rather than the whole assessment. eg 1st you focus on blind wall junction turn right. Once youve completed that, you focus on lane change left . After that you focus on right bend chk right blind spot near the plank area & so on until the end of L8. So its 1 step at a time, I station at a time until the end. In other words break the whole thing down into many small processes/tasks & do them 1 at a time.

At the 1st traffic light junction outside school, if youre 1st bike, you inch out until front wheel inline with the centre line of the road on your right hand side. If youre 2nd bike then your rear tyre must clear the pedestrian crossing. No inching out allowed at the big traffic light junction at Hougang Ave 3 if youre doing route 2.

With regards to your question - yes you can. & youre not obstructing the 2nd car even if he does not intend to turn left cos the 2nd car will be stuck behind the 1st car which is turning in.

All the best for the next L8 attempt!

Heard that after jan its either route 1 or 2 and not always route 1 like last time.

I think youre right abt this. Was at rr this morning. They broke us up into 2 grps - tp grp & L8 grp. We in the tp grp had to ride both routes. In my sub group of 3, 1 is taking test this Thursday. Another will be taking test on the 18th.

What a pity...I attended 1030am instead. My original timing was 830am but changed it to Wed 830am last week when the boss wanted an office meeting today. But yesterday he changed his mind & wanted it on wed instead so when I tried to rebook my tues 830am slot, it was unavailable!

Kinda surreal, considering I saw him fully alive & kicking last sat afternoon during cr. I had him once for L6 & twice for L7.

Life's indeed uncertain & fragile.

RIP.

Is Steven/Kuek Siu Chun from SSDC last time??

thank you!! Cleared L8 today... *sweat*

Thanks and congrats to you too. Next step, familiarise yourself with as many bikes so you will be confident no matter what bike you end up with during tp.

Side note: anyone know what to look out for when viewing 2 stroke bikes. I don't have many friends riding 2t bikes so they cant really help.

Thanks

Thanks! Checked out the bike and tested it bc I'm getting it from a direct owner. No funny sounds from engine, no stalling problems and engine starts on the first kick. possible to change through all the gears only problem is rear brake no power at all.

already set a side some money in case need to do minor repairs... :):thumb:
