Hi. Been re-reading this forum to make sure the tips you've given goes well in my brains. And am so satisfied to have stumbled upon this forum. I am currently on prac 6 and had my first attempt on it. Just would like to ask, at which junction are we supposed to turn left(if im not wrong) on the 2nd lane?

I heard instructor said last batch of TP test failed badly. Out of 50, only 15 passed, mostly immediately failures. I think the quality of the bikes must be pretty bad. Tried a few of them, some, the handle is very light like floating, some wheels tend to pull you to the side, some really bad clutches, and one bike foot brake like E-brake. CDC boasted on high percentage of theory tests passes while they kept numb on TP test passing rate.

During the TP test warm up from 7.15 am to 8.15 am, can you select and book your bike for the test? Taking mine in Oct. Any advice on how to reserved the bike.?

The current bikes are all very new compared to what the rest of us used back then. So I don't think you can complain much about them already.

Honestly I think the YBR over at cdc are much better than the bikes at ssdc.

I was at ssdc for DRC. Amazing facility , New and huges. But the bikes felt like they were abused much worse them the YBR's over at cdc.

Aiyo guys, we need to move on with a Positive attitude towards helping to IMPROVE the society we live in.... Instead of comparing with the bad, would you not compare with the good to compel an improvement. Anyway we cannot expect TP test passing rates to be so low, considering the amount of money we paid and learn so little. We need them to properly maintain the bikes leh... Who the "How Lian" say any bikes also can ride, tell me, I pin the bike for him to ride thru the obstacles and do TP marking for him. Some bikes like to pull one side, inherently a wobble king, deduct 2 by 2 by 2 by 2 points until you bonkers.

So we say loudly... CDC PASSING RATE VERY LOW.... until they malu. If no malu, we compel the in charge men to henta kaki...

Everybody goes through this stage. Get it over and done with and you can do what you want with your own.

Pass or fail. All depend on yourself ma. They rather fail you inside or you die outside. Which you might/may pull someone down with you too.

evryone of course hope for a "good" bike during practice, lesson or tp.

But unfortunately this is as such.. When I am in CDC, even alignment out bike I already sian already because it makes narrow prank tougher..however when I am in ssdc it is the same thing and even today my tp bike alignment out to right and I keep stalling the engine in brake despite warm up.

So best is go for more circuit revision, if can try other bikes other than the "good" bikes to get the experience.

Never put your hopes on getting a good bike so that you will pass the test. Rather put your hopes on your abilities. But admittedly a good bike helps of course. But at the end of the day you are the main performer, not the bike.

I can share with you my list of bikes which I considered 'good' if you want. No guarantee that you will like them. But guaranteed they can perform on the plank!

I remember during 1 cr, while queueing up to do the plank, 1 L4 guy asked me which bike was good. I pointed to him the 1 I was using -62. He went "OMG!!!" lol. See? He clearly wasnt impressed.

Go for as many crs that you can & try out as many bikes as possible. Take note of the 1s that feel good to you & record it down. Whatever quirks each bike has, try to adapt & adjust to it. Im sure that apart from misaligned steering & clutches which dont really bite (too much clutch slip), you will find the other quirks & 'defects' are pretty minor actually.

CDC rate very low?? I beg to differ... my time in april, 30/41 passed. Its how everyone performs on the day itself.

I concur. A good bike definitely helps, but in the end it all comes down to the rider. If you are good enough to take a "difficult" bike and still pass, it says a lot about your ability to adapt. And that is very important when it comes down to you, your machine and the metal boxes that don't care you are there.

Hi jbdoggy, thanks for sharing the passing rates during your time. We are all impressed. But if you read carefully, I said the recent last batch failed badly. Teaching and circumstances, these things are very dynamic in the real world. People changed. The purpose, to help them to improve by being critical. Yes, I appreciate your list of good bikes. Yes, you are real, some bike perform badly on plank.

For some others, I know, they like to profess their skills and relive their days of motorcycle glories, but they are of not much here, trying to impress with their skills and abilities to others. Frankly, I cannot understand their direction in life, motive or other intention. But looking at so many fellows learners at CDC frantically searching for Good Bikes, I say, get real, get a life, accept the fact that a Good maintained bikes makes a difference regardless of your skills. The question was simple, but it turns out into a self-advertisement opportunity for some.... hahahahahaha cheers!

Of course well maintained bikes make a difference. And considering the amount paid per lesson you'd probably expect them to spend a little more on maintenance.

But many learners before you have said the same and nothing's changed. So might as well adapt.
