well the method they expect you to use is come to a stop without skidding. thats the purpose of the lessons i suppose to teach you how to stop quickly without skidding.

in reality, we will usually be traveling much faster than 30kmh on the road so likely hood of stopping safely in an emergency situation is slim. in many cases swerving out of danger might be better than stopping.

There will be situation where you cant swerve especially on the first lane when the car abrupt lane change from the 2nd lane. just saying that not what ever they teach is 100% correct. you have to use your own judgment and select skills which u preferred once u got your licence.

Learn the sexy fall style, but not the frequency.

Her highness has already destroyed far too many good 2B bikes at CDC.

It was fun while it last. Good luck bro. Nice knowing you too.

I had this problem a few times. Ask her throttle harder at the start if it goes into neutral don't look down. Just pretend and coast through.

Does it matter what colour helmet we use during practical?

I wanna get a black one, easier to maintain. White gets dirty easily.

U can get black, no problem. I used a black helmet when I was learning.

@kaneandtaker So I was reading your post like a few days before my first lesson like last week and didn't think much about it.

But after my lesson, I think that my 2B journey might be just like yours.

Orientation was ok, but practical 1 was tougher than I expected.

Not only was I was late and had zero knowledge on bikes, I also fell a few times (my biggest fear) and almost got into an accident with another bike. So jialat. But on a positive note, I think I've sorta got my fear of falling out of my system coz it wasn't so bad afterall.

My class 3 licence did not help much other than allowing me to skip BTT. LOL

I think I'm a nervous and (physically) weak learner also. LOL

Thanks for your sharing your journey. It is actually very realistic.

Now reading that you're on lesson 8, I feel motivated. Keep us updated.

Update:

Practical 7: 2 lessons (Finally passed a practical in less than 3 lessons -_-)

Practical 8: 1st lesson 05/09/2013

Can't believe I'm so close to TP already...

Hi guys, 1st post here in the bike forums. I'm currently a CDC Class 2B learner myself so for interested people who want to know more about CDC Class 2B here's my background and history. I'm on practical 7 at the moment and my 1st practical 7 lesson would be this coming Friday.

Signed up for Class 2B enrollment on 03/2013 with a Class 3 license, so I skipped BTT and just went for RTT theory lessons and test.

At first I thought I should be able to learn bike well but during the months of taking practical lessons I realize I'm quite a slow and weak learner.

Theory Lessons Attendence

BTT 4 Theory Lessons: Skipped (Class 3)

BTT Internal Evaluation: Skipped (Class 3)

BTT: Skipped (Class 3)

RTT 4 Theory Lessons: Attended 1 lesson each, 4 lessons total

RTT Internal Evaluation: 1st time pass (48/50)

RTT: 1st time pass (50/50)

Practical Lessons Attendence

Circuit Orientation: 1 lesson

Practical 1: 4 lessons

Practical 2: 3 lessons

Practical 3: 4 lessons

Practical 4: 3 lessons

Circuit Revision to prepare for lesson 5: 7 lessons (LOL)

Practical 5: 3 lessons

Practical 6: 4 lessons

Practical 7: 1st lesson this coming Friday

As you can see, the minimum amount of lessons I have to take to pass a module is 3 lessons. I think I learn quite slow. My friend told me he spent about $600 on getting a Class 2B license but I'm only at practical 7 and I already spent $1k on it already. Kinda regret enrolling for Class 2B lessons now that I think about it but it doesn't make sense that I give up now since I'm almost at the end of the course already.

@Metalskin That's one of my options. My dream bike is a scooter.

I'm also considering the Aprilia mojito and the Yamaha Vino/Fino.

If I'm super rich I'll get a Lambretta, but I'm not.

I really love vintage/vintage looking scooters.

vespa also good ma, good resale value also
