Stopped by LTA

Hi everyone, so wanted to clear my concerns here. So yesterday I got stopped over by LTA and the officer wrote some of the offences that I did on my motorbike modifications.

 

1)improper front (sticker type on uneven surface) I asked my friends all saying it’s just finding extra fault with you.

2)fitted with winglets on front (protruding) 

3)improper side signal LED lights and rear signals.

4)rear tail plate without number plate lamp and tail tidy/mudguard

5)improper brake lamp assembly with led integrated type 

 

anyone have any idea if will lta give chance and sent a warning letter instead or they will definitely impose a fine on me? And also meanwhile while waiting for the letter of results, do I change my bike modifications first or I can wait for the letter first?

 

also it’s my first offence on the road.

Based on my understanding, usually will send you a re-inspection letter and after you reinstall all back to stock, it will depends on the LTA officer and how his's conversation with you goes. if you are nasty (no offence), high chance it's a fine (appeal from there). If you are friendly and he did say, just a warning, remember to reinstall back for your next inspection. (warning +next time stop will be fine). 

 

I've encountered both before. No matter first or 2nd, entirely up to the LTA officer. 

 

by the way, break down your offence. 

1 - if your front is those W shape, yes, cannot.. have to the smooth surface. they have guidance on the inspection centre for that. I kanna that a few years ago.

2 - Winglets - if it's those "extremely sharp", yes also.. will cause additional damage when accident. - I also kanna that.. haha.. only the winglets on your box (small ones) still acceptable)

3 - LED - this one, honestly, see your luck.. most motorcycles all LED also.. But I know they quite particular about the E-markings.

4 - This one must have mudguard, then okay.. Brake lamp assembly - see luck.. lol..
