133 cc. 2 stroker. Bore & Stroke is 56 X 54mm

Excellent transpot bike. Going cheap nowdays.

But a tad too light for high speeds (for me high speeds are above 100Km/h) n handling is nothing to crow abt.

A lot of room for customisation n accessories.

Minimal maintenace cos it doesn't even have valves! Only thing is almost every second hand Z will have probs wid da con-rod n block. Apparently, these are not of very high quality. But still can last as long as u dun red-line it!

specifications

Someday, home will be where my front wheel points.

then wat other carbs can rx-z use to lower down their fuel consumption?

care to share?:cheer:

i dunno how true is this...jus 2 days back my mech said TZM carb.

Got more power n etc. So i was like ya la consumption also higher la...he said no..lower.

I like huh how come?

He said cos its give a better mixing of air n fuel. (not sure how)

In short with rxz carb, if yar mixture is lean then no power, rich got power but higher consumption.(actually more petrol wasted) not made full use of.

So TZM carb will give more power at a lean mixture(thts wat i understood) hence lower consumption.

(this is a tricky one)He said he tried on a SP consumption lower. (i wld agree)

but how u know consumption will be lower on a RXZ also comparing to a normal rxz carb.

Anyway b4 changing carb have u considered changing to a smaller main jet?

guys dont run your rxzs lean , they will over heat and damage your engine. To check if the mixture is correct do a plug chop. IF u dunno what that is try google.

Running too lean might even casue seizure, be careful.

Do you know what main jets u are using rt now?

Think i heard someone used a RXK carburator b4. Proven to save petrol though cause RXK carburator is small.

not true..if ur mech told u tzm carb has better mixing of air n fuel,u got to boycoott him, what the point of yamaha agent selling main and pilot jet, with good setting even a stock carb can save petrol.maybe u should try find out more about carb settin b4 u believe in ur mech.from my experience even a rxz carb can make ur bike fly.:cheeky:

So far me n my mech are in gd terms for over 2 yrs...normally wat he says even sometimes i dun believe its true in the end. However this one is another instance la which doesn't make sense to me but lets see...i think i will "loan" the carb n try as motive is to save petrol without damaging the piston n conrode.

its similar but engine specs are different i think. However its a realiable bike as long as the engine is a gd condition n the bike is not modified for performance shld be ok. But other parts might be subject to wear n tear, like wheel barrings, cone barring n suspension etc.

RXking has a larger bore and shorter stroke, so it revvs higher than an rxz.

however, it has a smaller carb i believe and so mileage might be better than rxz.

Check the condition because Rxk are normally used quite roughly.

hi, sorry to hijack tis cause i cant find the thread "what's best for my rxz".

i've got a prob here. i cant open my seat, the key cant turn at all. is it cause my seat isn't the original one? any way to open it? thanx

Came across this problem. There is a mechanism inside this lock. If u open it, there is a spring. The spring/lever might be out of position. Adjust it.

hello there can the guy explain back in here how to do a plug chop? I'am not too sure if my main jet is the correct size. I done porting and pipe modification but petrol seems to save. Actually this is my 2nd time porting my block. I went to the same mechanic and the mechanic check my plug and he said my oil mixture is ok. But my friends all using bigger main jet for their modified rxz the lowest is 280 and the highest is 330. Thats crazy! I'am using size 230 internal pipe modification plus porting of blocks and exhaust port super large. Any experts can help?

okie accurate and proper plug chop is at top speed (if possible la) clutch in close throttle and off engine.

den take out plug.
