Just curious.

Is there anyone here who has worked in the TP department as a TP officer before or is currently working as one or has or know friend(s) who is working as a TP officer?

Issit true that TPs are the under performing bunch in SPF?

May 2005 - July 2007: Honda Phantom TA200 (FU 3*** S)

July 2007 - Dec 2016: Honda CB400 Spec III (FBB 7***X)

Dec 2016 - Aug 2017: Yamaha FZ1N (FBD 4***E)

Aug 2017 - Present: Kawasaki Z1000SX (FBF 6***B)

Actually, I had a dream to join TP.

 

But due to my uncle age, I dare not try to apply to them now.

Don't think so.

 

The last I heard is that one has to enroll and join SPF as a police officer, then depending on which of their departments needs manpower, upon "graduating", they will deploy you to the relevant depts that requires manpower.

 

You can opt in the beginning that you would like to join the TP Dept, but also subject to whether TP Dept needs manpower or not.

 

I heard about this some time back. Not sure if the policy is still the same. :)

Can free ride Diversion 900 :cheeky:

 

heard for friend (as i received).

VSC working hours wont affect your current job. :)

7pm-11pm, (not sure about other hours)

you will be accompanied by a regular TP on working task. (work something like assistant.)

all training will be provide by TP.

sure you wanna be a TP? long hours under hot sun still must full suit, most of the time on the road thus work hazard is high, everyday gotta face all kinds of drivers.. act pity, act as if his father is government, act blur... always will kena complain from drivers..

 

and no , tp are not the under perform SPF officer

speed and be home 5 mins early or 7 days late.

Yes. I have to agree with you that work hazard is high for having to ride long hours on the road, but work hazards are everywhere in whatever jobs we hold, isn't it?

 

I am not trying to argue anything here, but just like to say that work hazards are everywhere.

 

You should take a look at the long list of risk assessments I am helping to compile for the activities in my company, I think the hazards are much more and higher than that of a TP.

Aren't TP always shows authority on the road...? If not then just be traffic warden lor Juz control traffic...lol

 

Anyway it's a shitty job la.....most officers will request for transfer after few years OTR....go figure...

Some did remove the water-proof layer under the coat to have more 'ventilation'.
