Hi everyone,i got some problem which i hope you guys could solve for me.Its regarding my fuel consumption,i am riding Fz6s for about 1 year and usually my fuel consumption is about 315km for full tank before reserve,but recently i notice a drop by 305km before reserve but now its has been dropping to 280km.Recently i fix up scottoiler and this happened,is it any concern?There is a ticking sound which not so constant could be heard,at 1st i tot its the valve or the tensioner but its not,so i wonder any of you guys have experiences on this.Kindly advise and HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

Hi ,

 

Has your idling speed increased ?

 

Fuel consumption also varies depending on your riding style and conditions .... My bike drinks less fuel when i ride say at 90-100 km/hr in SG than when i

go much faster on the NSH.

 

As for the 'ticking' sound, i have heard about this before ..... perhaps you would

like to visit our Fazer forum for more technical enquiries ....

Hi,

 

fuel consumption depends on many factors, your riding stype, your bike condition, the weather, ... etc...

 

Perhaps the next best thing would be to check your TPS... yours is electronic, so need to refer to Manual to go into the diag mode...

 

About the ticking sound, could be your chain tensioner faulty... is it loud???... this affects fuel consumption as well...

ANway remember to start your bike once in a while... no gd to keep it under cover... haha...
