hi need urgent help here ...accidentaly left my bike in the "parking" mode overnight ...now the battery is dead ....is it possible to push start ?

Yes its possible to push start,just do it in 2nd gear.The meter will show funny stuffs,just ride it straight to shops to recharge....

Past rides are already history....

Current ride: FW VFR 800 ABS

actually i tried once in 1st gear ...totally no cranking sound at all ...maybe i no strength to push ...will try again later ...thanks .....btw is there anyway to disable to parking function ? fz6 04

1st gear quite hard...try 2nd.Just dun turn the key too much till parking,u will get use to it soon...

tried with 2nd gear and helper ...still cannot ...almost got it but ....... looks like got to call tow truck

run with the bike clutch in and in 2nd gear, when got the speed, jump on your bike and throw the clutch, should be able to start your bike

what i did was ...run with the bike ...jump than get into 2nd ....is that ok ?

Run it in 2nd gear...get some speed...then throw clutch....its much easier....

Past rides are already history....

I have been getting low fuel mileag of only 220km per tank till reserve on my 06FZ1 , any idea wats the problem ? Any current 06FZ1 riders having tis problem ?

 

I used to get 240km mileage when i juz start to run in my bike .

 

Its consumption now worse then my former bike . :giddy:

you started your bike yet???,... I got a batt that I can bring ard.. maybe can help you to start... PM you my number... call me if you see this msg before 7.30...

no leh... hehe...

 

Anyway check that your brakes are not dragging, cantrol your right wrist, when you top up, do you top up to the brim? There is a technique to top up one...

thanks for the help moka ...but i already spent $30 to get bikebulance to tow to a nearby shop to charge -$5 ....after that i rode it ard ... now after off the bike can start ....hope still can start the nex time i ride it .....btw ...what the hell is the parking light for

when you are parking or stopping for short periods of time, you can on it lor.. but hten many people will turn the key too much that it gets into that position.. so have to be aware of such things...

Ya, always top up to the brim . Park main stand to top up , always let the fuel settle b4 adding more to the tank .

 

But still no good , today , my reserve start at 216km . :bouncefire:

are you still on mineral or using synthetic now???.. sometimes different brands of oils have differnt mileage range too... just for your consideration, SIR!!!

Now on full syn liao . Maybe should try back Mobil 1 . Now runnig on castrol oils .

most guys that I know are getting about 300-330 before reserve lights kick in... think its time to check your air filter... maybe...

mine for the week, 355km reserve on. ride till 430km, duno can go how long more

local riding. bike's 2yrs 1mth , still using its stock air filter.
