nothing wrong with it, just find it not worth buying as you look at CBR's history==>

919, 929, 954 then finally 998 (1000RR). Just find that buying a close to 1000cc engine capacity will worth better in terms of technology wise. Hopefully they will come out with 998cc or better still 999cc heehee.

get ktm super duke, if i'm not wrong, it's 990cc.....

insurance wise, 750cc & above consider one category. So wont affect. Only road tax slightly cheaper

Erm... I think it's more to drag bike liao. Not into pick-up then stuck at like maybe 120km/h?

Like the MT01, I think the speedometer max is only 80. But not sure 80miles or km. Pure Muscle, hahaha, seems like big muscle but too clumsy to go any faster than 80.

tats because the CBR series and the ZX series initially came out with the 900ccs realised that they have to keep up with competitors (eg R1 & gsxr 1000) in the production bike category that they slowly upgrade to the CBR1000 & ZX10.

 

the hornet900 is still using the cbr919 engine, the fazer1000 still using the R1 engine, the zed still using the zx9 engine. the zed was built after the legendary zx9 engine that they big bored it and came out with the zed with 953cc in 2003...... and the rest are history.....

for NTUC, 400-699cc is one category, after that is 700-999cc..... if i dun remember wrongly.

I do know ppl always say Kawa engine more powerful. But unless I have the chance to ride it & prove to myself, otherwise I'll stick to Black & white from Bike reviews

check out this site, it's a report on the shootout between some naked bikes including the Z1000 & ktm duke.

 

the top speed of ktm is near 130miles/h. it's nt like MT-01 and it's fast n agile

those are claimed hp, u need rwhp measured on dyno to be accurate.

icic. Didnt know much about those history. Only see their production. Hmm... something new that I dont know either. Cause I remember seeing the "750 & above" that was quoted like 3 years back.

Suzuki's new concept bike B-King looks like it could leave every other bike way behind at the traffic lights. And I'm pretty sure it could do that, too. Imagine Suzuki GSX1300 Hayabusa with a super charger - that's exactly what B-King engine is. There's no exact engine data available but we know that Hayabusa gives 175 bhp and a super charger could easily add 50% more power. 240 bhp has mentioned. Holy cow!!! That's about twice as much as what the GSX1400 engine delivers.

 

GSX1400 has the same tire dimensions as Hayabusa. 120 at the front, 190 at the rear. B-King uses 150 and 240 tires! They must have created a new tire model just for B-King...

 

Materials like carbon fiber, stainless steel, aluminum and leather were used building this awesome superbike. An advanced computer system is integrated to the bike. There are self-diagnosis systems, advanced telemetry, which can use a mobile phone for remote maintenance, setup options, and even a GPS-based weather warning system, in case you are heading for a rained out area, and much more. The engineers at Suzuki are supposed to design a helmet with a GPS navigation system using the visor as a display.

 

The bike is started using a fingerprint recognition system. There's also a advanced thief alarm system. If an unauthorized person tries to start or move the bike the owner gets notified of it immediately by his/her mobile phone. There's a microphone and a speaker built in the bike so the owner can speak with the thief by the phone. If a speaking motorcycle doesn't scare off the thief, you can activate light and sound alarm and the GPS system helps locating the bike if it actually gets stolen.

 

And so on. In my opinion the B-King looks really great and it's filled with fantastic gismos and fun stuff like led flashers acting like a color display if you want. But don't rush to the dealer yet - B-King is not for sale. Not yet anyway...

claimed hp are measured from the crank and it already said, its 'CLAIMED' and not 'measured'.

 

rwhp = rear wheel horsepower

rwhp is obtained when u send the bike on dynorun and its measured accurately. u can see the actual speed on the dyno speedo and the variance between the speedo speed shown.

actually, i think MT01 or the Future B-king are targeted at those people who wants a flashy bike for the wkend to orchard or some drag race, this type of bikes nt suitable for daily communtin g. what do u guys think.
