Think its telling you that its time to top up petrol.. anyway its about 16km/L, so you are not far off from what the other guys are getting for this 1L beast...

When you get into the "straight line" mode as mentioned, think that is your reserve...

16km/l?! woah that is like sports bike FC... thought a street bike will have better one?

think ever hear people mentioned getting around 20km/l one... maybe that is due him riding a gen1 FZ1

~16/L for a 1000cc bike... what's there to complain?

I used to get 240-250km mileage during my running in , now onli reach 220km mileage .

Or maybe now i more daring to trash the engine . :cheeky:

funny... how come run in already getting less?

did you install more stuff like PC, aftermarket exhaust, etc?

anyway, speaking of PC, i read alot of reviews saying that the 06FZ1 engine is pretty rough (actually, my gf also commented on that), but a PC will solve it...

anyone installed a PC already and wishes to comment on it?

the blinking is a warning of low fuel...usually i juz top up when the last segment of fuel blinking...from my knowlegde it's 4L reserve fuel which can last u for about another 60 km or so b4 empty...usually after running mine only hits ard 220-240km befor enters reserve if travel on highway most of the time..btw yrs is a fairing or naked?

i believe when you get your bike that time... the fuel is already low and blinking... that should be the 'reserve mode' display...

until now, unless travelling long and i mean long distances on the highway, the best that I heard is 19km/L... for city riding, it drops... haha... if fuel consumption bothers you so much, then you should have gotten a baja, you know.. 18L tank, up to 80km/L on specs...

the max distance for 06FZ1 till empty fuel is about 300-320km

i had run out of fuel on the road twice...moka knows

kekeke.. thanks for the road test and verification of total distance for a tank...

did you have a bottle of spare petrol when you conduct this testing? kekeke...

i know of a guy who previously ride his bike till empty to clock the total mileage, but of course with him is some spare fuel...

but its best not to compare your mileage with a s4.. cuz its of diff make and cc.. anyway.. i used to clock 400km+ on a version S.. so with a same riding style, a 06fz1 wif 220-230km before reserve is the norm liao..

well, 1000cc being the case, but 16km/l is like the FC for a 1000cc sports bike right?

street bike should have better FC, also, like i said, i did hear another FZ1 rider mentioned that he is able to hit 20km/l...

not complaining, just feeling surprised...

well, like i mentioned, it is a matter of the impression that i get from other FZ1 rider...

of course, i cant say that i am not entirely bothered by the FC (lower FC = higher operating cost), but it is one of the low prority item.

ack that in life, you can have it all... so i am not complaining but merely expression the contradiction that I hear...

hope this clarifies....
