Information (duplication of key) for all fazer or yamaha user... Here's a step on how to duplicate your key...

(1) Buy a spare key (black) from HL

(2) Go drill/engrave the key at a reliable shop

(3) Programme your set of keys (see details below)

For step 3 (programming of keys), you can either let HL to programme your keys for you at a cost of 10 bucks or you can do it yourself as it's really easy; i feel so cheated when i gave them the 10 bucks... Here's a description on how to programme your keys (note that you need to have all your keys with you):

(1) Insert your master (red) key, crank and start your bike then turn off your bike

(2) Insert your slave (black) key1, crank and start your bike then turn off your bike

(3) Insert your slave (black) key2, crank and start your bike then turn off your bike

(4) Insert your slave (black) key1, crank and start your bike then turn off your bike; this is to end the programming sequence

If you have more then 2 slave keys then repeat the same until you are done then repeat the same step with your first slave key... Please do note that when you are programme your keys, you will need all the keys that you want to use to be there (eg. you lose 1 X black key... then you duplicate and programme a set... 3mths ltr you found the key you lost... the key can still crank but cannot ignite your bike already)...

Hope this piece of information can help all fazer or yamaha bike users... Cheers~

Hope this information can helps. Cheers.

The key will cost you 19 if i didn't remember wrongly, and this price doesn't include engraving and programming. So engraving it will cost you another 5 or 6 bucks, and on top of that if you bring it to HL to programme the key then you got to give them another 10 bucks (which IMO is wasting time as you can do it yourself)

hopStick;3353788']I think its 19.3 or 19.4 tank. I'm doing 20.5km/litre with side panniers and my weigh is 95kg. 70% time without pillion.

Think reserve kicks in round 15l. Welcome to the family anyway =D

I'm getting 22km/l now.. Will there be an indication as to when the bike is on reserve?
