i got mine fixed last time FOC at unique under my usual mechanic's hands, when i'm doing my EO & blah blah blah servicing there... you can look for xiao qiang & ask him for help... if he duno wad u saying, try mentioning me (black fz1 plate number 82), maybe he can rem, maybe he still cannot rem... hahaha... :D but for FOC wise, dun quote me please... :p

Every weekday morning ard 9ish-am will always spot Yatz either at KPE or PIE heading to Jurong.

Can't miss him coz red Fazer wif full-fairings consfem its him lah.

On weekends, sometimes can see Yatz riding past Geylang, his feveret lunch-time place there. :angel:

 

Charles, dat time i go ur office riding R15 lah ... but i sub-let liao to my fren's dotter. :D :D

Now left wif my one & onli FZ6.

You are having the same dilema as me before I bought my fz8. Did some reading n some were saying xj6 kind of feel underpower never tried personally though. I decided on better built n look eventually with many good reviews by European riders on fz8!

Where to get at good price, DIY!

Also Philip h4 main headlight...where to get at good price?

Cone bearing & Wheel front & Back bearing...Anyone know the price?

hi bro, which shop give you such comments? maybe they are parallel importer. i suggest you that you try to get more info from HL which is the AD of yamaha. i was in that situation before but seeing that FZ8 has restrictions such as unconfigurable suspensions on both front fork n rear shocks, price is nearly as FZ1, maybe insurance is as much as FZ1 n further it's a 800cc (798 cc if i'm not wrong) n wif a little bit more, u get a 998cc bike wif a detuned R1 engine which is quite known for........just my take....

not really... insurance depends on the cc range... different insurance companies might have different cc range... some is from 750cc to 1000cc, some is 700cc to 800cc, some is 800cc to 1000cc... all different range will have different premium...

 

best thing is, ask your bike shop to give you the cheapest premium for your 800cc fz8...

 

but one thing i would like to share with you, different insurance policies at different companies gives different payout in the same situation...

When I renewed my insurance some months back, the bike shop mentioned that some of the insurance companies do not pay the market value of the bike if it is stolen or what in Malaysia for certain models, something like 50% of the estimated market value which we all know is already sh*t. :D

Not sure how true it is, but if you intend to take the bike over the borders, it will be good to check.

 

The only good thing if you are over 30 is the insurance is lower. :D

The fuel consumption is better than for FZ8 than FZ1.

But since maintenance and spare part prices are all the same, and if OTR cost difference is minimal...then there is really no reason to settle for 200cc less.

That 200cc might make all the difference between liking your bike to loving it.

Is der any way to determine wads causin a slight leak of engine oil under e main stand without havin to leave e bike at e shop for a few days? Went to planet n e apek say need to open up e exhaust all to check. Any suggestions coz i cant live without my bike even for a day!

I debated with my wife regarding the upgrade of 600 to 800 cc . Her view is not higher than that . Since I'm only constraint by this factor is enough to allow me to appreciate the fz8 ^^ . Would be going to HL this sat to see how high is the bike and the prices . wish me luck .

 

Hope the restriction does not have any affect for me riding and mounting the bike would be a plus factor . Really thanks and appreciate the tips u guys have been giving would keep u posted the end result

could it be you lub ur chain too much? too oily there la... hehehe... :angel:

 

got check the EO level via the glass panel bo?
