Happened to me before. There's a plastic T-junction tube somewhere under the tank where the main coolant line is connected to the reserve coolant tank behind your engine. The T-junction may have cracked. I had mine replaced with a metal one.

 

Check that for cracks.

Just installed H&B Junior 40 L panniers on my bike.

1. Found that the clearance for the left side is more than the right one. Is it supposed to touch the pillion handle? Any issue?

2. Seems a bit harder to control my handlebar after installation. The handlebar wobbles when i freehand while riding. Is this normal? Any ways to reduce this?

rack is brand new or 2nd hand?

Rack is new. Installed at M Technik. The boss said he'll feedback to H&B.

since it's brand new and M-technik is handling le, we don't actually need to help you much..

but, fyi, the rack/panniers isn't supposed to touch the pillion handle bar.. it's either the rack issue or installation issue..

 

handlebar controls while riding a bike with panniers, yes it's certain that it will affect ur usual riding style as the geometry of ur bike had changed..

wind turbulence and the new riding habit and other affecting factors plays a part too..

try to get use to it first or you may look at installing a steering damper..

yes. this is the average fuel economy on mine also depending on whether urban riding or highway ride assuming a average riding habit..

 

Fuel range to reserve would then be approx 200km to 250km++..

Go to your trusted mechanic and check. I had an experience where my Water Pump seal damaged causing leak. In the end had to change the entire pump as the parts are in a set. Better to track the source of leak before making a decision on the repair.

It's louder than stock. The tone is more throaty, slightly more bassy. But at the same time a little hollow.

Sadly i did not check, as the mech said it was the thermostat spoiled..

Hi Guys, Just recently got myself a brand new '13 FZ1N. I've put about 300km on it so far, taking it easy not going past 6K rpm. Not that I think I really would on a day to day riding basis. I have a question about the bike though, starting the bike feels weird. If I press the ignition and let go too quickly, it will crank but will not start. If I hold on to the ignition a little longer, it will crank - start - and then stop. This happens every now and then, be it from cold or hot. Sometimes I end up having to crank it 2 - 3 times before the bike really starts and stays running. Would appreciate the comments and advice! Thanks guys. Selamat Hari Raya to my fellow muslim riders!
