U mean the lubricant used to flush out all contents out oft he engine when changing ur oil? I recommend u use Motul Engine Cleaner.Costs $22 at Pleasure Motorsports.Yes it's for bikes.U pour it into ur engine and start ur bike and let it idle for 15 mins.then when u unscrew to release the oil, watch out! The hot oil will spurt out ! yes spurt or shoot, not flow.then u can carry on refilling with ur favourite engine oil.i tell u,u'll feel a difference.

I also wanna know. Let's say i use OWS Engine flush. Do i:-

1) Drain some of my old EO, pour in engine flush and let it run, then drain

2) Pour out all my old EO, put in new EO + engine flush, then drain

Which one is the proper way to do it?

Engine Flushes--The Latest Scam

Engine flushes pump heated solvent through your engine, supposedly to wash away sludge. But regular oil changes with detergent oil already take care of the sludge problem. And if you actually have an engine that is full of sludge the last thing you want to do is do an engine flush because the sludge can clog the oil passages and destroy the engine completely. These flushes are completely unnecessary. All they do is wash the money out of your wallet. As Click and Clack state: "This is what's known in the business as a "profit center." Something the garage can use to beef up the amount each person spends per visit. So unless you've got a very old car, and are trying to solve a specific, sludge- or carbon-related-problem, I'd skip the R-2000." These engine flushes usually sell for about $130. The victims are people that think that they are doing something nice for their vehicle by cleaning the engine. In fact a dealer or repair shop that tries to sell you an engine flush should be avoided for all service because they are untrustworthy.

I was referring to the one you just pour into the engine and let it run for 10 mins the drain out. Its not the same right?

There is no fixed type of "flushing" liquid used by some shops. But in general, what the manufacturer package in their "flushing" product is what is described in the article and what you have in mind.

I went to a shop once to ask what they used to flush, and they tell me they use whatever oil you intent to run after flushing! That is if you intent to use Mobil 1 to run yr engine, then they will use Mobil 1 to flush your engine; thereafter, they will fill with new Mobil 1. Sheesh.

My take on this is to use name brand products and to change yr oil at the designated intervals and yr engine will be fine. Notice that non of the oil major sell such a product.

No more no less.

Save the enironment. Ditch the flush.

Engine flush is only about 200ml or less so you are to add it with your existing eo.
