Actually dont have any friends around me riding this Comet125. For myself, I havent get to see any on the roads yet, only saw it thru Ban Hon bike shop. So was thinking about it's reliability and performance issues.

singaporeans mostly ride wave and phantom and nsr mah.....unless you dare to be different lor

The RW engine is based on the reliability of the Honda CG 125 engine. The design are almost similar. The only difference is that the CG engine is a 2 valve SOHC engine, while Daelim modded to engine to a 4 valve SOHC which increases the mid range performance...hence better mid (cruising) range.

 

Also, from a lot of reviews from experienced/veteran riders (uncles, abangs, ah peks, ah nehs riding daelim bikes), daelim engines are very street worthy...lasting an average of 4 years before requiring a major overhaul to its engine. That's as long as any reliable honda/yamaha makes.

Someguy in this foum is selling 1 year old yellow Comet for 3000+. Jeeze...Its half price after slightly more than a year huh.

u can go to alexandra branch cka agent ..... i saw one there?? the price u have to ask them lah bro???? it is a yellow comet 125 ....

Anyway any idea where's a gd place to get ur comet125 inspected and serviced?

 

Think its a relatively new bike so many major problems have not been identified yet...

 

In terms of spare parts, cheap anot? and compatible with what other brand parts?

Honda and Suzuki?

 

Seriously, its a 2B bike big enough for a big size guy like me... can consider getting one if the price is right and ofcoz maintainability not like bikes like Aprilia(parts hard to find and expensive.) when it first came out...

ok...u can try at BIKE PRODUCTION....at SERANGGON RD just after CHIAP LEE

shop....in terms of spare parts it is consider cheap and easier to find.The price if i am not mistaken is around 5.9k.....

Not sure bout the parts for Hyosung Comet. Can try the sole dealer/distributor though

 

V twins are known to wear a bit faster than single inline engines.

 

Relatively speaking...ALL commuting small cc bikes are cheap and easy to maintain with the exception of performance racers & off roaders

 

Have yet to met up face to face with ppl riding the comet. However will have to warn you that bikes with scarce spare parts are best serviced at their respective sole distributors. Not only Korean bikes but any bikes (e.g Italijet Gilera, Cagiva, Kymco, PGO) that aren't "main stream". Becoz if you send it to any tom ###### or harry shops, they will just get the parts from the distributor and then jack up the service and repair charges to include the transport and misc fees to obtain the parts.

 

Some lazy ones are even worse, they'll just jury rigg their existing spares that may spoil your bike in the long run and charge you extra claiming the parts are original!

 

So best send them to their respective dealers...besides small cc bikes servicing at the dealers are relatively a bit more expensive but it won't burn your pockets like servicing a ducati

Most 2B/2A bikes loose around half their original value after a year/1 half due to supply & demand. Very comon.

hmm...ok bro.....can i know wat is yr budget???? as u know that comet 125 is quite expensive,new one cost about 5.9k...insurance depends on yr age lah bro.I suggest u take rw 125 more better.Furthermore the models look slightly the same.

Insurance is very ex for any ppl who just passed their TP below the age of 30.

Fairing bikes are the most ex.

 

Be prepared to fork out a lot of dough on insurance. Best if u sub ride the insurance under your dad's / close relatives name above 30 and have > 5 years riding experience.

i when to bike production.. thry only have NEW wan only.. price i ask is $5.8k

AMK Ind park 2 should have also....they selling new/used Comets there. Its beside the Caltex after the French Int School
