Hmm.. wanna check with all comet riders out there... how do you find the tyre?? Cos I was told by a mech that better to change as the grip during rainy days is not good...? any comments on that??

 

If need to change, any recommendation? am still a noobie when it comes to bikes...

Hi evry1! I'm the owner of black Hyosung Comet 125cc with (FY .... P) plate, bought it @ Feb'05 for $6,300 otr, & currently still using it. Jus done service for a mth, change new chain, new front & rear spocket, Bridgestone front(110)& rear(150) tyres, with chrome crashbar & still in gd condition. Intend to sell it @ $3,500(negotiable) as I wana upgrade to Super 4 asap. Can make appointment for viewing. Anyone interested please call me @ H/P: 91708966 anytime.

Hey Guys, wonder if they do sell the below mentioned bike in SINGAPORE. Never seen anyone riding it locally other than the Comet & Roadwin. The Model of the bike is Hyosung GT 125R. Any bros have experience riding this bike? Care to share some information on it (e.g. price, FC, handling etc.) Thanks..

ya there is in singapore. i saw it OTR before. i was riding a comet gt125 also but now upgrade liao. good bike for just transport only.. fuel tank 18L for ard 500k i think..? I cant remember liao. but i know e FC is f@cking good. last time i traval from jurong to changi for work and i only pump like one week one time haha.. top speed i try on my comet downslope is 140km/h straight road is 130km/h and i do lots of thing in oder to hit that haha any way its not a sport bikes its a bike just for for transport only. I miss my comet

140..? i kinda max out at 120+ on a slight downslope... din really tried straight road though... can hit about 17l ah? I scare ride halfway empty leh.. at most i pump was 12++litres..

as i mention i do lots of mob to hit 140km haha..

 

here are some of e thing i done on my comet

 

1) ngk spark plug

2) ngk spark plug racing cable

3) end can tonk ( just bring to bike shop and ask them do for you. there is a metal plate in e end can what you need to do is to just hit a very big hole on it)

4) spocket change to high end

5) tune the fuel more rich

6) air box mob ( DIY just take it out and puch hole)

7) lower handle bar

8) add in petrol booster in fuel tank

 

all i do and only hit 140km/h haha and you got to drag like hell lolx

becuase a brand new comet wont be affordable for me..

the bikes in my mind now is rxz and comet. and i really wanna get one soon.

hi guys am quite new to comet any views about its performance n maintainance?? n how much can i get for a 2nd model?? wat abt the diff between comet 125 n 125r? will there be better performance wit 125r?? 125r really veri nice man..

performance:

comet my first bike, never ride others before.. still a noob, so cant really comment on performance..

 

maintenance:

this bike not all shops have the stuff, like brake pads, air filter... cos i went to one shop(maybe its just the shop), he dun have these two items.. normal changing e.o and oil filter should be ok ba...

 

(one bike shop uncle say the coil for this bike easily spoilt, anyone out there faces the same problem?)

 

comet 125 is naked version, where s 125r is the fairing one.. not sure with the performance.. u can always ask bike production for the pricing of 2nd hand bike... cheers!

i went down bike pro the other day and asked abt the gt125r. they say dont have leh..

performance:

used to ride runner, then first day ride comet.. macam like no power lar.. feel very slow.. definitely not a bike that overtake easily..

 

pick up not that fast also.. bike will also vibrate ard 5 rpm onwards.. dont know why..

 

cruising at 70km/h should be no problem..
