Hi bikers,

I will be going up to Mersing in a few weeks time. I will like to ask for tips on:

1) Parking security (overnight at hotel)

2) Traffic safety (travelling at night)

3) Traffic police road blocks (heard alot of stories need to pay kopi money)

4) any better routes? (potholes)

Thanks!

not advice to travel during the night, where by the road is twisted (fun corner), two way carriage, within 1 n 1/2 hour u are able to reach from 1st link.

enjoy the road during the day and look out for cow. basically mersing got not much activity to do expect for the sea breeze.

for the hotel part, it is always a day trip for me to get away with the busy city life.

take care ride safe.

Thanks for the tips bro. I am going with my in laws for a wedding event. They intend to stay for a night. And they are driving. So I may either follow them from behind or meet them there. The wedding starts at 10am thus the reason why we may need to leave early morning. But since its only 1.5 hrs away, I may just leave at 7am. Just a lil worried about parking security.

If you're looking at staying at the beach side, head down to Air Papan. A number of resorts and bungalows there. But be sure to book early. Weekends are packed with locals and usually the rooms are all out.

Parking wise, Air Papan is safe.. Usually its parking in front of your resort. Never stayed in the city though so can't advice in that.
