I'm so impressed with the MT-09 handling and power but I know I shouldn't get another bike esp when i'm trying to shift my focus to mid classic bikes and of course there is tge crazy COE price... and then this came along... A mt-09 for sale!!!

Yes I did although only for a limited distance.

 

Styling is really up to individual. The mt-09 is a naked street fighter bike. And with its ride height and wide bars it felt like a motard. Technology wise, I believe this is the first triple engine developed by Yamaha and I'm quite impressed with their effort. Got to ask those who owned the bike for more information.

 

If you ask me about practicability... mt-09 scores lower due to the lack of wind protection and the design also restricts having topcase or panniers (at least to me since its a street fighter nakie) but some of the guys already fitted topcase on their mt-09.

 

For sheer motorcycling fun... The mt-09 scores high by my books. For styling it's also very nice although the younger brother mt-07 to me has much more interesting design.

I am selling my lightly used Ermax 33cm nose screen for MT-09. Picture attached for reference only as mine is the clear type.

 

Price $120. Reason for selling is that I bought the Yamaha OE flyscreen.

Love this bike, but is there any after market pipe that can produce a better exhaust note?

I'm currently riding a fz6 and it seems like the exhaust note on the inline4s are better sounding than inline3s.

 

And i'm seriously considering the MT-09 as a replacement in the next year or so, and hoping to pick up a resale one.

what do u mean by better exhaust note? whats nice to u might not be nice to others and vice versa. inline 4s and inline 3s will not sound the same. so far there's termi and akra around. i think gianelli is street legal too.

Diff exhaust brand will definately gives diff exhaust notes..no matter if its d same bike that u install.

And its the unique sound of the tripple cyclinder is definately sound different frm inline four.

Theres alot of aftermarket exahaust in the market for MT09 infact..google pls

Only akra,termi n giannelli are currently approved by lta.

You are right,but we have to be considerate wif our neighbours thou..keep d baffles in.or lta will summon u.lolz
