ahsnow / littlewing- no more of the sv fairing at motoreworld. I think they have finally sold the last 2 sets. You may have to custom make, which i think it's hard to get someone to do it. Either that ,get someone(sv owner) to sell his to you.

the fairing still can be ordered at Motoworld, just have to pay deposit n wait bout 2 months for it to ship from UK/Japan (depending on which brand u order).

Ahsnow & littlewing, coming for the coffee session?

Last year, the 1st time my SV650s rear brake pad was replaced.

This friendly kid in the bike shop checked for a suitable replacement from his pad catalogs. He said, few choices for your SV. I was happy with the choices and finally decided on one. My surprised was, SV share the same rear brake pad with current Hayabusa. I have totally forgotten that incident as “common parts bin practice”.

Today, saw 08 Hayabusa video and decided to do a tinny pedigree linkage among the fleet of Suzuki bikes. Since 1999, Hayabusa was using 81mm bore and SV650s with the same bore were introduced to the world. They are as popular as ever. (Europe market)

Both 99Hayabusa and 99SV650s were designed to suit rider’s needs. Basically, SV is half of Busa engine (capacity and cylinder). OK with half Busa engine, split the cylinder and align it 90 deg apart. That is SV650s, simple. But when top speed is concern, 200kmh vs 300kmh is 2/3 not half.

OK, the litmus test is for our SV rider to testified. If SV650s is getting half the thrill of Hayabusa, than the above theory holds a bit of water. I say YES. I’m getting the good half. For those who desire for more, upgrading is the right step to enhance your riding skill, to a Hayabusa or ZZR or Blackbird.

2004, came the DL650 V Strom. That was easy, just put a SV650 engine. That’s all!

2008, we are seeing the new Suzuki's flagship in the making. The stake is high. Can this new 08 Busa puts Suzuki on top of new competitor? ZZR? Suzuki chose to use the tested 81mm bore and increased the stroke by 2mm. I asked. Why?

Anybody knows the answer?

Enjoy the following video.

Last year, i bought the lower faring from motorworld for $450. Take this as a guilde.

The more I ride my SV, the less I care about going to the annual bike show and looking at new,

or expensive, or exotic machinery. I'm continuing to mod my bike into exactly what I want it,

and enjoying every mile I put on it.
