Sv 650 is using H4, sv 400 is H1, there is a slight difference.

I will help you to check it out if i happen to go there.

The more I ride my SV, the less I care about going to the annual bike show and looking at new,

or expensive, or exotic machinery. I'm continuing to mod my bike into exactly what I want it,

and enjoying every mile I put on it.

Hello,

I will be going over to the UK this year. IF time & budget permits, I hope to get a SV650.

I wonder about the selling price of one over here in Singapore? The ones I see in the UK are in the range of £2000 for a 6-8 year old SV650 covering about 20000 miles.

I hope to do mostly touring and of course some track sessions on the bike. How does the SV650 perform on the track? Nothing too serious, just wanna have some fun.

Are you after the FI model? The suspension on the SV deteriorates pretty quick so you don't want to buy one that has too many Ks!

I like to get the FI model but somehow prefer the look of the carb model, still quite undecided. Are there any benefits getting the FI model over the carb one?

What are the options for suspension replacements? I'm not familiar with bigger CC bikes. Till date, most of my bikes are tiny CC ones.

Anyone know any UK SV forum? Thanks

The FI version is newer (less mechanical probs generally) and slightly more refined, smooth and powerful. Has sharper styling too. Have been riding my K6 from new and am still loving it. Love the LED tail lights and sharp, timeless styling.

If you want more info on both types of SVs, and even some info on the SV1000, go to http://www.svdownunder.com I'm on this site, there's a whole lot of info here and the ppl are nice.

Should be a few UK SV sites too. Have a look on google. The SV is the overseas equivilant of the SG super4. Honda is actually bringing the specIII here to Australia this year as a 'new' model lol.

Have to disagree with you bro....99 to 02 models are the one with the timeless styling...no offence....

Fully agree with you, carb models definitely look better compared to the EFI models. I think it's just a matter of preference.
