As the end draws near, I'd like to share some lessons I learnt for the past year.

And of course, there is no better way to do it than with a nice story.

The 07/08 committee were strangers. We were a ragtag bunch put together to keep a dream alive. Indeed, at the point of time when we took over, there was a drought of able-bodied, leather-clad, menacing bikers willing to take up the committee positions. The mission was clear, step up or byebye NUSriders. We did not know each others last names and struggled with each others first names. Truth be told, I couldn't tell the kitty from the cat.

Nevertheless, like true bikers, we rallied together for a common cause. A hastily put together matric fair, Ride Safe, Don't-ride-after-boozing campaign, numerous outings, we managed to keep the club together. The two girls I worked with, Char and Kitty, they were not girls I tell you, they were extraordinary women. The Nusriders blog, the T-shirts, the stickers, all could not have been done without them.

It warms my heart to see such activity going on, from old as well as new members. It reminds me that all the effort put in has not gone to waste. When we look at the glass of beer, do we say, "oh it's running out, let's finish the booze and go." or do we say "Get another round of drinks!"

Get another round of drinks I say!

Make it good, make it better. Do it with love. For the people.

Cheers to everybody.

With love,

Kevin

I hate forums btw. This will be my last post.

PS: Hongwei, check the date of my sign up. I always had this account man. Stop claiming credit for everything I do. LOL.

Sir yes Sir. I will always remember "I am not a President, just someone to run the club"

Kevin you have indeed changed my life. For better and for worse.

Actually i intended to express my gratitude to you guys in the upcoming outing. Faz is getting the details ready. Do keep your Thursday night free.

As for free ice cream, when was there ever a tradition?

How about free spark plugs?

Thanks bro. You stood up then when no one else would. I appreciate your gesture. Still do. Truly. :thumb:

Good to see there is new enthusiastic blood to run the show. Do pity all the guys from engineering faculty... Theres a reason why we hardly ever see CH, Andre or Kevin around.

Take care all!

Best regards,

Stan
