Put a nice coat of turtle wax, or maybe ten :thumb:

Anyway, its designed to be light, so the generator, battery and all that are smaller to save weight, have to deal with it. Is the battery easy to remove? If it is, may be you can consider getting a 2nd battery, swap them every week or so, and use a trickle charger to keep them happy.

Lead acid batteries don't like deep discharges. On your part, maybe you can change your pole lights and tail lights to LEDs (save about 15 watts), and use a good bulb. I recommend Philips Vision Plus :thumb:

used to be easy to remove... cos they removed the screw thread clip thingy so that the rider seat is not secured....

but knowing my classmates, i had them put the clip thingy back in... so now have to use a socket ranch to open the thing lor... but ok lah.. not that difficult...

anyways... next month i think i'll get one dry cell.. and the month later the trickle charger... then another dry cell... very broke this month already... :cheeky:

yeah... i know about lead acid batts... and their sulphate buildups during deep cycles... hahahahaha... part of my course... stupid boring lame course... lol...

very jia lat arh... just now i ride 2 hours with the normal light on... then i reached a junction, wanted to check my fuel... then the neutral is like super hard to get... so i turned the engine off... kns... after that press the button to hear NOTHING... kns... i was in the right lane... then i pushed the bike around the divider... heng it was a slope down... then i push start... turn the light to the tiny buld and ran for the next hour... hopfully tomorrow don have to push start in the morning man... hai...

can't wait till i get my allowance... hahaha... 2 more weeks only... buay tahan... lol...

Spare battery : ???

Anyway, find out you're bike's fuel consumption so you don't have to keep guessing how much petrol theres left in your tank.

Speedo not working? Check your speedo cable, it might have snapped. $8, far cheaper than a $100 meter right.

Well, if you want, you can push start every morning, get into the MotoGP spirit!

Btw, we're way off topic already. For Mito stuff, proceed to the Mito Thread, although the above applies to Monsters too :thumb:

Monster400 needs 3.1 litres of engine oil (stated in the manual). If you don't change the oil filter, 3 litres will do.

Check the oil level with the bike UPRIGHT, not on the sidestand. Same goes to your bike.

Also, speedo cables are universal, just get anyone thats roughly the same length will do. Mine belongs to a Phantom I think.
