Then when the lights turn Green we both just open throttle!!

Damn it feels good.. With the sound from both bikes..

All i can say is i hope Minerva gets some kinda of approval for the Tergmi's man..

Just imagine this..

If the new production line for Ducati includes Tergmi's in their specs..

Wt is Minerva gonna do.. Take out the pipe & sells us the bike only?

Or keep the pipe & exchange it with sumtin that is compliant to the noise "LAW" in Singapore..

Btw LOUD Pipes saves life man!!!

Btw our pipes sound is not as irritating or loud.. Its just bassie & its makes a Ducati complete.. Don u Ducatitians agree?

hi vincekam: thks for yr input for the inquiries... yea 2k for a paintowkr on e frame is really too much la. spray yrself better! but did u have to strip e old frame's paint or wadeva? or juz simply spray over? i'm thinking of chroming my exhaust manifold....or simply spraying it with hightemp paint... which would u recommend. i'm doing so coz my manifold(as most bike's) starting to have surface rust...where is this high tempo paint available? aniway bro, i'll b extending my passport soon. u still go to e friday's top up at 2nd link?

I agree with spraying the frame myself. I was all ready to do it so I ordered some cool Engine enamel paint from Duplicolor, only to find out later that the USA does not allow for Aerosols to be shipped out! Major disappointment man cos the High Temp/Heat paint we have here are very limited and I wanted my Monty to get a Chevy Orange/Red frame. Guess I will wait for now cos I have another itch to get the frame anodised instead. Still toying around but when I do come to my senses, I'll let you know and maybe we can work together to get both bikes done.

Hey muz...i found a powdercoat shop also...its a shop that deals with the company i work for thats how i found out...

 

Even my own mech suggested own spray.....he spray for me lol....

 

BTW i think the price of $2k is over quote....dropping alone shldn be more that a few hundred...

As I mentioned in my earlier post... I'm hanging on for now due to some other ideas for the colour and look of the bike. I like the idea of the Super4 belly pan but I am not sure if I need to make much mods to the stock S4 pan. Don;t have the tools to mod it. I'll explore and let you know the feasibility. Tks dude!

for belly pan i know where can mod...my mech can make sometime...if it can be done then i can arrange whoever wants to go down...BUT thinking caus S4 has four headers as its wider, not sure wether it will be to wide for the twin? BTW even some s4 using s4 pans are modded.

 

Maz inspected the bike even more carefully yesterday that in order to do a good job on spray, u really need to remove some stuff....I am afraid i dun do a good job, when comes to art my mom say i have a bad habit....being a perfectionist? sigh.....

I know what you mean man! I'm just like you, every inch must be covered. I'm gonna buy a rear stand and a jack stand to support the engine when stripping the bike. I'm still looking for Duplicolor Metalcast-like spray to give my frame an anodised look. [http://duplicolor.com/products/metalcast.html] Unfortunately, these guys don't export and have no distributors in Asia. I will look thru yellow pages for some alternatives. Another route is to strip the bike and then send the frame to a shop for kandy-red paint.

I just went down to Kallang Cycle to change oil and spark plugs.

 

And also change my chain, my chain spoil already, grinding against my bike...

 

Chain:$180

Oil: $45

Spark Plugs: $10

 

sigh...

 

anyway i also went to sporting to ask for leo vince, takes one month to deliver, if consolidate orders can get discount on freight, i think not much also lah. Due to strong euros, now the pipes costs $1200 for CF low mount...

 

Akrapovic is slightly better pipes, but depends on how much it is, if it costs a lot more, I think no point, but if marginally the same, maybe we can consider.

 

So who is up for legal pipes? can we have someone to quote akra pipes?

Budget ah... dunno man. I have a feeling I might just spray myself. Need money for studies lah But you can go ahead and ask. If it's within my means, I might go for it!

Just have a digital camera handy and take as many pictures as possible. Put it into a laptop and review each section as you are putting it together. Problem solved!

Guys .. my old M400 had a belly pan. Do a search to see if Yohji had posted any pics of my ex-bike. The man really takes care of his bikes, I am pleased the bike went to a good owner.

Ehh, not exactly sure how much it cost to powdercoat the frame as I had a whole bunch of stuff powdercoated besides the frame, engine covers, blocks, heads, etc. Call them for a quote. Bear in mind that I had to strip the paint myself (couldn't find anyone to do the sandblasting).

I just got a reply from Works Performance that they dun have any street legal akra for pre '99 Monsters. So I guess we can rule out Akra and go for Leo Vince now.
