i think no problem cos the arrow site says removal of footpeg is not required leh.

it is not the removal of yur footpeg.t is the adding of `bushing' or spacer where the bolts fixity is.

this application is due to the fact that the space between the swing arm and footpeg is smaaler than the diameter of the pipes.

too to sure wat kind of diameter te aftermarket pipes are.

you can try to measure the gaps and check it agaisnt the pipes dia meter.

Hi guy, I just bought a Monster 400. So glad to be a monster owner. But can only ride within my carpark, haha...hopefully will get 2A in Nov. . hehe... However, if you guys have any outing, please let me know. I still have a phantom can ride out. hahaha.... BTW, as i know nothing about monster. I have some questions to consult you guys...

1. My monster in a 2002 model, but how come it was only registered in 2005;

2. What are the advantages of 2002 model comparing to other model years;

3. What are the disadvantages of 2002 model comparing to other model years;

4. Any accessaries to add, my monster is in stock condition.

Thanking you in advance.. hope can ride my monster with you guys soon. hehe... attach a pic of my monster. hehe...

if it's 2400 for legal termis. it seems more feasible to simply buy e non-approved ones fr minerva n set aside 1.2k for summons. haha.

jackie: congrats on yr new monster, it's lovely. regarding yr Q's

1: it's a 2002 model but registered in 2005, means yr bike was built prob in 2002 but the first owner only bought n rode it in 2005.

2: the pre'02 models have no tachometer.e newer ones does. plus slight difference in design cues, mainly e colour of frame,sus etc, post'02 models hav e mounting to add a 2nd disc brake in e front, n the rear plastic "beer tray", e ones holding yr rear signals. engine pretty much e same. the newest monsters 06 models onwards have fuel injection n comes w 2 front disc brakes. e rest same.

3:no disadvantages la,since even aftermarket parts r widely available 4 the newer monsters.

4: alot accessories. go to http://www.ducatimonster.org for some inspiration.

Just got mine about a couple weeks ago too. So far only had to change the sprocket and chain. Bike seems pretty reliable. Only thing its a bit sluggish. You may want to take your bike over to Michael at kallang cycle to take a look at it to see if you need to change anything. Cheers..

Dreamed I was a muffler. Woke up exhausted.

Hi Jackie-HD,

I respect your tolerance level. I bet I cannot resist not to take the beast for a run on the road.

It's very hard to get the beast to ride together.. I have waited for 2 years for this moment but only managed to get less than 3 monster to ride together.

I think you don't need to know much about the beast for now. You need to ride it and se_x it up.... have fun...

hey... how come you didn't wanna ride with me on Fri night huh...

Cheers!

When I first bought my Monster it always die on me while riding... sian.. so I went to race werks to wash carb change engine oil, air and oil filter and tuning... well its works very well now... As for the exhaust... don't know if they wanna do it as it takes time and also they don't do welding at their shop.. u can try though.. but if u just want to just 'Thong' the exhaust I think most bike shop could do it but its whether they have time and how $$$ as I heard its quite a troublesome process...

tabako: congrats on yr new pipe. ENVIOUS !!!!

yea heard e guys not bringing in new m400's animore, it's not tht ducati dont produce... coz there's always e japan market to cater to...

farish: yea parts r more expensive but honestly, the typical wear n tear parts share almost e same costs as a super4... orig vs orig parts, let's not include "chiong" parts which r of coz more available to super4's...
