Maybe they are just jealous cause we had a great ride, great food, great weather, and great massage!!!

A total of 8 bikes (5 Ducati, 3 others) made it to Malacca and back without any problems. After breakfast at Gelang Patah, we skipped the planned route and went direct to Malacca on the North-South Highway. Lunch was the fantastic Ole Sayang Restaurant for Nonya food which we all filled ourselves up to the brim. Just when we thought we could eat no more, Chendol dessert was served.

 

After lunch, it was a ride through old Malacca to Pantai Klebang and then back to Jonker Street to pick up Pineapple Tarts. From there, it was on to Ayer Keroh toll, back on the NSH back to JB.

 

A&W Coney Dogs were howling out to us and some delicate negiotiations with carpark security enabled our bikes to be parked at the "reserved for exhibition" slot.

 

After that, some of us went for a massage to ease away the tensions of the 500+ km ride and then back to Singapore.

 

To all who missed it, watch out for next month's ride to Penang for June 19-22.

yes yes im one of them jealous ones. sadly my bike's not ready to tour yet, for now(EO need to change and stuff). so im really hoping to make it for Penang.. they say Penang chicks are hot.

how much is the used M400 on market currently?

Few month back, combine motor want to sell me 1 at $1500 but coe ending at a week time. never took up the offer cos i got many bike.

It seems like a price where you have a lot to do to restore the bike and renew coe. But not a bad start price to start a project since you look like you enjoy restoring old bikes. You can look to spend $5k - $10k to do up the monster and you can fetch a reasonable price as its value is there especially for 400cc monsters. Not too many nice 2A bikes around with such a character.

penang chicks, at lor 16 n 18. full servicing. ha ha. but now can. its not outside iding haha,. alot kena caught outside because of aids. its true, my friends.

the bike was in very nice condition. Combine motor did the bike service most of the time.

Now i think back and i feel a bit heart pain because i never took up the offer.

 

After looking around at forum and i think the price they sell is really cheap with that condition( Full service done and paint work still look new) i tested the bike and ride really good!

Well, that was a good price by Combined.

 

Personally i feel that the 400 is under-powered, 750/800 is great. Also generally a 400 is usually a transitional bike for 2A, hence may not have the same degree of ownership commitment as a class2 bike.

 

I used to ride Dukes, then I found them too temperamental for my liking. They are sexy machines, tho.

We will leave SG on June, direct to Penang. That's approx 700kms. 2 nights in Penang and then to KL for 1 night. Hotel costs will be approx RM$150 per night on a twin share basis. Meals, fuel, shopping and extras at your expense.

 

I have a support vehicle that can follow us to carry our gear, some spares, luggage, shopping, etc. Looking for 2 or 3 substitute riders/drivers who can drive up in this support vehicle and alternate the driving/riding.
