Its not ugly IMO, its just a copy.

Imitation is the best form of flattery. Good work Honda! :thumb: Try harder next time!

Btw, I'm sure a 400cc version of this VTR would beat the Monster hands down in terms of reliability, price, fuel economy and performance, not to mention much easier to maintain and service. But then again, it still lacks the certain charm only Ducati seems to be able to put into their Monsters.

:nono:

Why are there so many copy cats around?

No wonder just now, got this uncle beside me at traffic light ask me if i was riding the newest Honda...

Geez.

Phui.

But hey agree lor... imitate becos good mah...but it will never sound the same lor.

Any one selling their Ducati 400SS, what is the selling price for such a bike?

I think Ducati has the most beautiful bikes around.

I will get one once I pass my 2A.

Saw the 250 ... quite nice, actually. The Ducati twin Exhaust and profile is quite unique, hard to emulate. BTW, anyone old timer here remember the GSXR-K model, aka the Slingshot which comes in 400 cc, i think. Black and Gold finish. Before I saw the Monster, I thot that was the coolest 400 around.

Cheers

You can't "strip" a monster cos its already as naked as it can get :D

Need to change tank, seat, tail, weld mounting points for fairing, screen, headlight, console, change bars to clipons, add lower fairing, single 2-1 exhaust and you're just about done...

I thought I saw a 400SS at Bukit Batok on a few occassions.

Maybe its a Japanese special edition, the licence plate indicates that its maybe more than 10 yrs old already....but still so chio and desirable.

actually it is some kit that actually should work fine. not go to some motordiam and the mechanic go cut the block or something to make it 560cc. No $$ to buy any other ducati la. tts why trying to maximise the m400.

Guys, when K&N filter is installed, do we need to cut the old filter box? Note that the DP ones comes with "topless" box.

Cheers

For me, the KnN filter is exactly the same size as the original air filter, so its a simple drop in replacement (Must oil it first la)

Just realised not too long ago that my bike was installed with K&N. How long (generally) would it lasts till we hae to change the whole filter?

I think the filter will outlast your bike, just service it every 10,000km. :thumb:

Thats good! :thumb: So what did he do? Use a thicker gasket?

For the airfilter, you can go down Motorworld get the cleaning kit, or just pay them afew dollars to clean it for you.

Thankfully, he didn't charge me a cent for all these work. When I went to him for the first time, I told him that my bike was leaking.

After paying him so much for labour for that time, the problem wasn't fixed. So he can't be charging me, I suppose?

He was very patient with my bike, but I wasted so many trips to see him and leaving my bike there overnight?

Anyway, bottomline is, the leak is fixed, so no more complaints!

Thats very good workmanship :thumb:

And it feels good doesn't it, to have your bike finally running perfectly? :D Almost makes all the trouble worth it.
