Just now went to run-in engine along ECP/AYE, so far so good but a couple of times hit around 4500 rpm, hope the engine will be alright, as recommended run-in for my baby is max 4,000 rpm :cheeky:

Hey dude! Congrats on ur new bike. Dun worry bout the 4500 revs la. Had a chance to visit the Kawasaki factory n before they even put ur bike in a wooden crate they already whack ur bike in the factory liow la. Whack as in Redline evry gear n once in top gear....... still rolling they kick the sidestand down to kill the engine n kick it back up to revive it n down like 3 gears n dump the clutch. U think 4500 revs will fark up ur engine??? NO WAY dude.

Happy riding n enjoy ur ride dude! BTW wat colour ah??? Green???? Cos if i aint green.... it aint mean! Kidding :thumb:

Well, most of the time I run-in around 3,000rpm at 6th gear along ECP, that is about 65km/h ~ 70 km/h :cheeky:

I am riding at ECP lane 4 most of the time, so far no lorry tailgate me

I think those lorry driver may know I run-in my bike cause my plate is FBA :D

6,500 rpm is quite high, but it applies to your GSX-R1000, may be because your bike is a high performance machine. :bouncefire:

I still have to run-in to max 4,000 rpm till 800 km, then 6,000 rpm till 1,600 km :sian:

Wait long long loh :faint:

Yes, I am more careful now, able to gauge the speed vs gear vs rpm. :cheeky:

Just now pillion my female friend from Orchard to Chua Chu Kang. :cheeky:

Reach 90km/h at 4,000 rpm 6th gear, feels good but my right hands feel numb when ride alone from Chua Chu Kang to Marine Parade via KJE, PIE, AYE & ECP..

Still got 600km more to finish phase 1 run-in :sian:

And I found out that when the side stand is down & kick in first gear from neutral, the engine will die off, good device :thumb:
