everytime iI ride on it, and discovers the wind is in front of me, I throttle, it'll let me race with the wind.......

I lay low, to reduce wind drag, keep racing forward.....

in the end I won against the wind.....

ok, to do it, u need either an ignition advancer, or a pc which is capable of advancing or retarding electronically.

with the case of the ignition advancer u just have to replace the cam gear with it. a mechanic can do it. but word of caution.... u need to know which way is advance and retard. the bike will either become more powerful if fitted correctly, and u can guess if fitted wrongly. as for with the pc, u need to set it via a dyno table.

my 12 used to be fitted with an advancer even though my pc was capable of setting the advance. it is more reliable to do it mechanically. sad to say i still can't find it for zx-10 till today.

the significance.... faster responce because the firing is set earlier.

I like it because it gives me confidence, it'll let me challenge myself....

Advancing or retarding ur timing ignition can be done by pros only. Normally the timing ignition are set by the manufacturer. The setting is in the manual. I know for cars they use a timing gun to flash and the belt and if its out of sync the words cant be seen. Tats for cars la.

 

Normally its done when you have the timing belt or timing chain replaced. Or whenever the cams are removed. Power gain i dun think you gonna have lots of gain. When i mess with my car's timing ignition sometimes the revs become irratic. Worse is when the engine starts to ping. Its better to leave to a professional.

every manufacturer has to set an angle for firing. but ignition timing can be adjusted within the allowance. all OEM vehicles do not have ignition timing set exactly according to the blueprint. maybe only one in every 1000.

we can adjust only after market advancers, not the OEM. brands like MUZZYS come with advancers which u have to set yourselves, so instead of looking for professionals u can DIY.

 

About the timing belt and timing chain adjustments u mentioned. it is only done when ur timing gear is worn and the assembly loose. the professionals u mentioned simply just put humpty dumpty back together again.

the topic we are talking about now has nothing to do with those u mentioned. i guess u got it mixed up.:p
