Hi to all the BROs,

 

Need anyone who can help me very URGENTLY !

 

The story is..... I bought a 2004 dragstar during Nov 2005 from Universal Motors at Alexander... They only gave me 2 spare Keys without the Master Key (RED colored)...and warned me not to loss the 2 spare keys....

 

Unfortunately, I lost both of them.... now i'm in deep deep deeeeeep sh*t !

 

Beside changing the whole Ignition System (ECU Immobiliser) which cost me $950 + $100 labour cost.... anyone have any idea what can i do to cut cost ?

The simple answer is NO. There would be no point in having an immobilizer if it was easy to disable, even if Hong Leong do know they would not tell anyone.

 

Each manufacturer uses their own systems so each system works in a different way, some can be overridden by a pin code, most new systems are built into the motorcycle and cannot be removed.

 

My advice to you is to seek help from Hong Leong, Yamaha agent, which may be a little cheaper if; your mentioned quotation is from Universal.

Y wasn't the master key given? Ur ride still under installment?

If yes, the master key should still b with Universal..

I already paid full for the dragstar liao....

and i call Universal they said don't have the Red master key

 

the $950 + $100 quote is from HongLeong Yamaha...

so die die must go back to HongLeong

I think have to eat magee noodle for few months liao !

 

I word of advise..... PLEASE KEEP YOUR RED MASTER KEY IN SAFETY BOX
