salutations to all fun joy ride riders just saw a very chio lady rider FZ5184 plate along ECP heading towards airport, even got the spectacles and all to complete the office wear look but with luminous orange Crocs maybe got her high heels stashed into those side panniers shiok to see so sophisticated looking lady riding my ex bike hmm wonder if she frequents this forum

I was banged hard from behind by a Sunny at around 3pm on AYE (towards Jurong) near Normanton Park exit last Sat...

 

Luckily I had already come to a complete halt before he hits me from behind. Bike fell, rider fell off bike, right pinner box flew off 50m ahead...

 

Rider suffered abrasions, right fairings of bike badly disfigured, right balancer , mirror scratched, right exhaust bented inwards, bike bracket for putting box broke, box in quite bad shape, etc...

 

In short, I am damn sway...

Thanks for the well wishes. I am fine except for some bruises and abrasions. The driver who banged from behind has asked me to go see a doctor, go to IDAC to have my bike's damages photographed and he asked me to claim everything from his NTUC insurance.

Maybe get a lawyer to claim other losses from him as well such as loss of use of vehicle, unable to work thereby affecting your performance and possible promotion.

 

Eg: Monetary Loss from use of bike

Let's say

Insurance per year = S$900

Road tax per year = S$500

 

Loss per day = S$3.84

 

If bike shop take one month to complete the repairs (including getting all the replacement parts), you'll lose about S$115 leh. (excluding season parking and/or any other related charges.)

 

Claim his NTUC insurance also claim on the repair fees only.

mutantsheep: yup my bike's prob has been solved, bike felt like having a new lease of life

 

seahmh: speedy recovery, maybe u can keep whatever receipts that are related or due to the accident. in case u nid them to prove whatever losses that u have suffered. taxi fare to go doctor, loss of income etc. u may not use them ultimately but its might come in handy.

It is so troublesome to be without my bike... I can't go wherever I want like in the past...
