so good, we've exceeded 100 posts for this thread..

 

Anyway, i did some research about engine oil which might be impt to FJRians.. Maybe some already know of this too..

 

It seems that we are restricted to using 4T oils and not just any car oils even though they are premium quality for example Mobil's Tri-Syn and SuperSyn and others..

 

This is because they come along with diesel engine protection rating of

C() for most of them. 4T oil dun, in most cases.. I'm not sure how impt it is to follow the owner's manual but i won't wan to take any risk...

 

That time i went HL for oil change, they charge me $20 per bottle (1 litre) of Shell Advance engine oil. The grade is 15W-40 if i'm not wrong. I went to look up Shell petrol kioks and found out that 15W-40 seems to be Advance S4 which cost only $5+ a bottle. i felt that i'm chopped but i can't confirm. Anyone knows?

My gf and I saw a silver one near jurong town hall road exit AYE yesterday night..

She say she saw one few days back as well which we nv see before..

 

mine is green, staying in the... considered north zone, i think

cant comment on this, but i dun think the diff is so great. mayb diff grade?

juz sharing some info... i guess this is only applicable 2 the abs version

 

finally got my spare key done yesterday

 

gotta buy the new key from HL ($19), get it duplicated by the locksmith, then bring back to HL for the synchronising. very expensive n troublesome

Hey, saw one silver FJR yesterday at BKE.. Plate F(EX) 786.. Izit anyone of u here? Btw, I'm not trying to jio u yesterday.. just wanted to ride together cuz we're really scarce in this country..

 

I always feel comforting if i see an FJR on the road..

I am still running in my bike, so if you see someone riding like an idiot, it's me lah.

My plate is FX, give me a "honk" if you see me on the road, OK

i saw 1 silver, think ABS version few days back near NUS..

 

I was filtering to AYE.. He's moving off from a junction at clementi rd towards commonwealth ave.. I managed to confirm its an FJR when i was about to exit and he saw me as well..

 

I decided and wave to him and he nodded as response..

This is so cool.. Next time i'll do that when i see my own kind..

Me thinking of buying tourer choosing between STX & FJR. Anys of u guys can help me out, give me some advices.

Hi, all FJRians, got a problem here..

 

Few days ago, i notice a slight vibration when my engine goes above 4K.. The vibration sets in and out periodically at intervals of 1 sec i would say.. I suspect its time for change of engine oil but i only went 2000km after the last change.. I use rock oil fully syn btw.. Last time not like that leh..

 

Anybody knows whats wrong?

No problem, I got mine for $23k on the road without insurance from AS Phoon and traded in my old bike at a good price too, much higher than other motor shop offer me.

actually this is very subjective 1 leh, sum might say STX better, while some will say itz FJR

 

4 me, the styling of the STX is great. but the price tag n weight of the bike...

 

FJR is good coz itz more affordable n easier 2 handle

 

ultimately, itz up 2 u

just sent mine 4 a check. engine giving a 'tick tick tick' sound, which follows the 'rhythm' of my rpm. my mech said itz the valve sound, a norm prob 4 our bike, any1 can confirm this? my bike is only

No problem, I got mine for $23k on the road without insurance from AS Phoon and traded in my old bike at a good price too, much higher than other motor shop offer me.

23k? datz cheaper than mine leh, was quoted 25k w/o ins!!! aiyo, sim tia liao
