just sent mine 4 a check. engine giving a 'tick tick tick' sound, which follows the 'rhythm' of my rpm. my mech said itz the valve sound, a norm prob 4 our bike, any1 can confirm this? my bike is only

 

mine oso haf that sound.. Think its normal lah...

Hi bro's me hv bn silently observing tis forum abt FJR a while, finally me manage 2 get a 2nd hand FJR (2yrs old), jest got a bit of question, does front brake alone stops the bike on a slope (wif pillion and panniers)? or need rear brake assistance? My former bikes were NT650 n super 4, nvr had tis prob

Yo bro's my brakes r fine jest my rusty riding ... false alarm...hehehe... me bought at albert motors for $16500 machine price ... insurance for NTUC abt $600 for uncle like me la (29yrs old). wah biang the heat beh tahan on my 1st ride but me found while washing bike my coolant less than min ... so aft top up, slightly improved ... but for sure no more shorts/bermuda's for me ... any tips on toppin up coolant w/o removin the fairing ....aft 72 hrs of FJR riding me experience the 1st,2nd and 3rg gear not so smooth... its like the engine rev is not constant even wen my hold my accelerator constant ... not so sure...any FJRians meetin up ... pls PM me ... wld like to join for open discussion

Get a tank bra... then can wear shorts/berms liao...

Chalat my fjr ... the other day ... it was raining heavily.... then skali my engine trouble amber light turn on .... diagnostic indicate code 31 ... check wif fjr website says ... excessive oxygen detected ..... then b4 i go to agent the light went off ..... dunno wat to do .... hope light don appear again la

i suppose it the same three colour - Silver, Blue, maroon red.

 

Get the two tone silver paint scheme. So nice.

I am doing 370km until trip F come on. wanna to find out more from other FJR...

Got 2 tone silver? Will look out for it. Last time i asked the price in Nov was $26500. Will go to Looi's motor to sit on it again when i go change engine oil. Must touch it once every few months lah...

 

The FJR is a preety rare sight OTR. So far I've only seen a blue one on CTE a few months back with no panniers on it. I wonder if it is much harder to weave thru traffic with this bike? Else gotto queue like the cars in jams...

 

Anybody modding their FJRs like i see in some US websites?

Blue and silver the most common..

If i not wrong, 02 model silver is lighter..

03 silver is darker and so called two tone.. So if u wan 2 tone, can only get 03 model..

When u just start ur bike, the fuel gauge will show lesser than actual rite..

Sometimes, i start my bike when my trip meter is bout 280km, the F meter will come in.. After riding for some time, it'll go back again.. Generally, i refuel after bout 330km.. But pump in 20 litres full liao..

with panniers, more or less will be affected...

Thats y alot of them put rear box and remove their panniers.. I've tried once and can tell u, its damn shiok cuz u feel ur riding a litre sports bike.. dats 4 me lah..

 

But den, FJR without panniers looks.. erm... not so nice..

Just been there last week, no FJR in the showroom.

 

FJR without pannier, shouldn't be a problem going st. up. If with panniers, i will usually stay with the Q. The panniers is wider than the mirrors, so got to be really careful.

i've finished the thread last Nov. read abt the seat rest and... what do u call that... the thing you put at the fairing to prevent it getting damaged when tip over. seems quite hard to get them in singapore. sad cos i dun plan to put a top box if i get one and concern abt pillion comfort.

 

if i see a red one on the road i'll give a honk. mabbe it's u... 8)

Saw a red FJR belonging to a owner of bike shop in AMK. Think it FD23 or something like dat. Happen to be u?
