yap, its the same problem. urs an early 03 bike??

its a fairly straight forward job, they need to remove the tank, and shift the radiator, then remove the top block cover, the original gasket hav a grove in the center causing the oil to sip out, the replacement ones is flat through out. the o rings they are talking about is 4 pieces of gasket for the plugs area. after dat, its as good as new.

How does it happen? Due to vibration or hard acceleration?

I heard that re-spray paint work is quite expensive in Singapore, some more is hard to get a perfect factory colour... because my pillion seat area has some scratch mark due to hooking up of touring bag  Will go & wash my bike & apply torture colouring & wax to see how is the result, any recommendation?

yup i wld jst leave it as it is or buy some stickers to cover e scratch..

cos no point in respraying as u wld be spending $$ jst to cover e scratch..

later go touring again n if same scratch appears, do respray again?

$$ worth spent on other accessories...

You got your point man, thanks :thumb:

I just wash my bike & use turtle-wax to try to clear the scratch mark, I would say its not 100% perfection but the scratch has "magically" cover with the same colour coating after apply the turtle-wax (don know how the chemistry it was done). I still can see the scratch mark, but its much much better now :thumb:

So hail hail to turtle-wax :cheer: :cheer:

hehe

hmm, my tank already had a scratch the next day i buy, think it was already there, nv see properly when purchase. black is very obvious somemore.

i almost drop my bike also when engine stall at marina carpark.. just like ur case, nv warm engine and moe off, gear 2 turning, engine stall.. lucky balance..

yesterday something strange happen.. i was at red light and accidently kicked down gear1. engne stall. clutch in @ gear1, cannot start bike. no crank. kick neutral, same thing. on/off key again. also cannot. was about to dismount bike and push to side road when i give it a last try and it crank, started. wats wrong? all along, my sidestand was not down.. roughly, 20-30 secs after stall then i can start bike...

May be the engine need to restart itself bah. What I think is that there may be a electronic issue. Just like our computer, sometimes it will hang & need to restart again.

When I drop my bike at Wheel Lock Place car park, I also cannot restart. Then I switch the key to "off", let her rest for 10 seconds, on again & start just like normal. I think its okay, so far no problem for my Zed due to 2 times bike drop & 1 time engine stall because of lack of warming up.

Kawasaki Engine are very tough :box: But if everytime stall engine due to lack of warming up, the engine sure jialat, so must take care

I still practice warming up my engine till 60 deg.c without throttling the engine at all, still practice covering my Zed with bike cover at home once she is cool down :thumb:
