:mad: this morning about 2+am i went to changi village kanna stared by 3 Rvf 2 original paintwork one red and black honda wing...sadz!!! don't dare to blow back scare it might be one of u guys...but later dont think so cos they wearing white helmet..here i think none except benson wears a white helmet tio boh/???

anyway i'm terence..previous nick was ft2863l...juz changed my nick...

just now went to my bikeshop and check why my bike not charging.. after some voltage testing the mech say is magnetic coil spoil.. so he say need to change the magnetic coil, new rectifier, gasket, 4 bottle castrol R4.. total $550.. Now I'm very very unsatisfy and worried.. I sit there see the mech change everything for 4 hrs.. he done some wiring mod, now my rectifier got 2 extra wiring connected directly to the batt.. the mech say like tat when the bike is moving, it charge faster.. he skipped some connection and said is unless so connect directly to the batt...

 

And i have a headlight switch, he told me now i must switch it on all the time when riding the bike if not it will overcharge the batt and burn everything due to the rectifier mod he done.. i say wtf.. ppl install a switch cos wan it to switch off when riding in the day and extend the rectifier life now like tat my switch is unless liao lar, then he say off the headlight when starting the bike and on it when riding lor..

 

Now i'm very worried of the overcharging.. wat if i forget to on my headlight.. means another $500+ of servicing?? So far just now travel back home, my bike have no sight of unsual behaviour.. But i'm feeling very uneasy.. Pls tell me wat to do guys.. sigh...

 

pls dun tell me go back the shop again.. never anymore..

how abt meeting at Borders instead?? DLM say its boring waiting at the cinelesure carpark.

 

so new location is meet at Borders instead lah..so early birds can read magazines while waiting for the late birds.

 

wat u all birds think?

zookeeper : just wave to them say hi loh. All the RVF riders shld look out for one another... even on the road, shld just say hi and tiao here tiao there... Like the time i met one RVF on ECP, we had a friendly race for a short distance and ended with a good note..

 

I saw one RVF parked beside me at tiong bahru plaza today... wrote him a note to ask him to join us... hopefully he will come in here... now must do a bit of recruitment since our HR - Ken, is going to leave us. hehe...

but u cant come from orchard rd..iz a one way TO orchard rd. u can only come from tanglin rd linkin from grange rd.

why didnt u fcuk that mech upsidedown?

 

he is paid to do what u tell him to do, not what he tell u to do.

 

u better go to a more reputable shop to straighten all this thing out, forget about that shop.

 

u go back to that shop, they will change it back for u, but with something not well done and soon it will have probvlems and u go back, they will say, see lah tell u liao...

 

so u better abandon that shop and go to another shop ASAP.

Actualli behind Borders theres a cafe...just beside the traffic light...there alot of bikes park on the pathment...can have cafe and yet look out for the bikes...wahaa!!!

Pls take note, u can c there is only one way to reach there. is a one way road. If u r coming from boulevard orchard, u have to make a 'u-turn'.

 

1. shortcut to reach Borders: Do a right turn...

Tomlinson Road

 

2. Another right turn...

Cuscaden Road

 

3. follow by a left.... go straight n u will reach Orchard Road.

Forum Shopping Centre

 

4. After turn right to Ochard pls remember to keep right. u turn in after u pass Far East Shopping Centre.

Hi,did anyone here went hkl to change(mod) the firing response of their bike?I was also told by the boss that it cost 180 dollars to do the job.Are there any improvement?Have anyone tried?The boss told me that most rvf riders are quite satisfied and he say factory or dyno jetting is useless..Does anyone know more about this modification?pls advice.thx......cheer:

modify firing orders?? haha.... i suggest u dun try.

RVF's firing order is 1-3-2-4, each power stroke to the crank spaced at 360 degree... fashioned to imitate the big bang theory of class winning Vtwins and designed to incorporate a Inline's top end linear power delivery.

 

in other words.....PERFECT. So unless u are doin a full mod with reboring, quietening gears removal, Cam profile modification, full exhaust system , HRC jet kit n airboxs bla bla blah..... , DONT do it! u'll only break something in the engine in the long run.

 

HKL? haha...... to me...not many shops in SIngapore are capable of doin a qualified modification job with APPLIED SCIENCE !!

 

and HKL is definitely not one of them.

Haha...i totally agree with u although i bought mine from there...think HKL u can only go there and do those small little things like wash carb. change eng oil etcetc...not much skills thingy needed should be ok...

Can we even name ONE that is certified, qualified?

 

How many mechs here actually go thru some form of proper course on service and repair? NONE.

 

How many actually know the logics behind whatever technology that is on the bike engines? Only thru trial n error...

 

How many have gone thru some certified electrical or electronic courses? My guess is close to none.

 

For all of us studying engineering, electronics and the like... we probably know more to what is the electrical system all about then them.

 

I would not trust any mech to do those intricate modifications on my baby.

But i personnally will give sporting motor a try as they only got a mech there, and that mech is trained with certificate, from i think is Swiss, cant remember.

but they will entertain u anot is another story. if really wanna do it, go to this sporting motor. If they do ur bike, should be 90% safe.

 

go loois? see they wanna chop u anot, they might ask u to do more things or tell u more things on ur bike is spoiled liao lah such tricks.

 

K&T? i frequent there, so is quite a number of us, maybe u can meet some of us who frequent there to go with u.

 

HKL? wanna total lost then go there. lol.
