hi pple,

got some questions again......

do your RVFs feel like no power during moving off? it really feels like a pussy when moving off compared to my old kips.....izzit suppose to be like that?

another question my rear tires is over size its 160 instead of 150, so a bit of its side is rubbing off. this set of bt 090 is installed by the previous owner i tink so i change it or continue to use it? any complications using the wrong tires? the rubber should be rubbing on my chain that i juz changed (did o-ring).

thanks

Hi guys,I just found out that my rear tyre kana nail today. The tyre had just been changed not long ago and is still very new.So is it ok to just leave it as it is or should I go patch it up?? I asked the mechanic at Unity and he said that if I patch it up,the tyre won''t be able to last long.Is that true??Wat are the pros and cons of leaving it as it is?? Thanks in advance! :weep:

the slow moving off, u go change your spocket teeth to 40 then pickup will improve.

but if is during mid range like 4-6k rpm oso dun power then is better go change start plug, engine oil( not more than 15W/50) n wash plus tune carb.

if still can solve the problem, then izzit ur biting point not good?

kekeke

the worst case is that u got to open ur piston got problem anot loh.

but watever u r recommended by the mechanics, tok to us first, then maybe we can discuss it together

just use the cheap tire repair kit... the one with the BROWNISH worm rubber strip... and patch ur tire... my old r1 had a puncture in the same fashion... and after patching... i still tried top speed a few times and was ok... but i dont advice u to do the same... maybe i just lucky! hahahah

and my k1 on the trip back from thailand had a nail puncture too... repaired it with the metzeler tire repair kit... with the WHITE rubber thingy.... and it did the trick... all the way till a very high speed bend near Gelang Patah... about 290kmh on my meter hehehe but the thingy flew out! though after the bend when i was on the brakes... the tire started to lose air... so maybe the angels were beside me... and God gave me a second chance....

when u patch up ur tires with the cheap repair kit... u can still save that pair of tires with a trip down to those good tire repair shops for cars... and take out the tires... and patch up from inside... and it may not be 100% as good as a unpunctured tire.... but i give it 98% reliability after u patch it from the inside? about 30bucks i think.... :p

its time for a change!

New attraction coming soon!

Hi everyone.

I'm interested in getting an RVF. Can anyone advise me on that?

1) Roughly how much is an acceptable price to buy at (Eg FP/FQ/FR, not any older)

2) Also, (may not be too relevant here) if buying from private owner, will I be able to get loan frm bikeshops?

3) Is a newer RVF, say FR, not worth the price tag?

4) Any other advice.

Thanks.

It is a great bike, you will love the handling trust me!

1)Pricing for the plates you listed should be around 8-10 K depending on the condition.

2) Loan would something which you have to source for, can't help because not very sure!

3)Worth it or not, this you would have to ask yourself, i bought my for

11K ++ and i think i got a great deal, given the condition and accssories that came with it.

4)Guess my opening sentence answers this question.

The secret of happiness is to make others believe they are the cause of it.

I need advice from the RVF riders here...

When i moving off at a slow to moderate speed, i can hear a grind sound under me, not sure where and what the problem can be.. Anyone has an idea or encounter the same thing?? Suspect the sprockets and chain wearing out..
