i just passed my 2b. i was riding my friend father's bike. just went out the carpark i saw TP. they stop me. they ask for my license and insurance. i told them the bike not mine its my friend father wan. then they book me. now tomorrow i have to go to traffic police HQ for statement...

 

man they say tat i have got to have insurance under my name or i cant ride the bike... is it true?

 

i need u guys' help... tell me what will the punishment be? thanks!

plead guilty and say sorry ...say u want to buy that bike ..u testing on carpark .. better ..buy insurance at ntuc for the bike ..say u want to buy the bike ..pay the insurance $300-400. ..bring to tp hq ...show them ..that u really gonna buy that bike ..just that ..that day u testing it ..

 

then after settle go back ntuc , return back the insurance ..say the owner aeroplane you. take back the money.

 

settle. case closed.

wow wtf this works? nono i not caught in carpark.. i went out of the carpark, headed to a T junction, and traffic lights were down. tp was there they got me ridin dirty.... man... will revoke or not? i only tell them say i dono that need insurance under my name.

for me my elder brother always like to take my bike key go shop ..i tell him ..if got anything happen i say he steal my bike, i dont care.

u need to have a insurance for the bike u r riding,get ur fren's dad to go down tp hq with u,tell them u test ride tat bike only

yeah ..buy another insurance (can return back, after settle at tp). or add subrider. just say u buying the bike, that day testing it.

 

1) Go ntuc and buy insurance for the bike, cheapest as possible. Take down the number plate first. Dont bring the owner there. Cost around $400.

 

2) Bring owner and the insurance u buy to TP. say u buying the bike. on process for loan. haven change ownership.

 

3) settle at TP. Go back ntuc, return the insurance, say dont want to buy that bike. say bike spoilt, owner fly kite, etc.

Can. So far, i think only NTUC allow that. Due to this, i always play my frens bike. Buy insurance then 1mth later return back the insurance. Just need the bike plate number, bike model, and done.

You got license, just no insurance. Fines + Points . Just donno how much.

The owner sure get something ones..but if he say u steal the bike ..then diff story.. that y need to discuss with the owner and make up story...

bro, I can't really advise much, because I still new.. But what I think is Imran suggestion is the best to follow.. but since tomorrow u got to go to TP.. I think you must really act innocent and sorry.. Keep on apologising and react accordingly to the situation. Be humble (if u can't, at least ACT HUMBLE) TP are also human and have feelings also.. Just remember to liaise well with ur friend's dad , saying you are only testing bike..

 

But whatever it is, I believe you will still kena something.. singapore is not a lawless place afterall.. I remember there's once an instructor told me that a father and son was at lorry carpark. Son is learning how to drive a car. In the end, TP happen to pass and stopped them. Both are banned for driving for 3 years. So as to say, whatever it is, you will still kena something, but how big and how small depends on ur performance and luck tomorrow.. Do what you did before ur 2B TP test (pray hard or whatsoever), to me it's that kind of feeling lor.

 

But hope you will be fine, cos I also like you, still new, that's why 2B to us newbies is as precious as gold..

btw, your friends father knows you took the bike or not?

 

cos if he does, then revoke will be on you and him.

 

But if not, then revoke on you, plus a charge for riding a bike w/o owners consent.

 

That means. You get a criminal charge waiting for you, for stealing a bike.
