Hi,

Anyone using HBC200 with a full face helmet? I just bought a pair and installed it in my Shoei Neotec

When the front is flipped up, I can hear myself clearly through the earpiece. But the moment I flip down the helmet, it seems like the mic cannot pick up anything I say.

Any tips or ways to troubleshoot this? I've been adjusting the angle of the mic but it doesn't seem to work.

Silly me, the mic input i was hearing is from the OTHER mic on the table! hahaha~ how do I remove this thread? Or maybe this can stay on if someone else attempted to test the system alone.

I bought HBC200 from Motoworld.

I checked ebay for first hand HBC200 and motoworld is cheaper.

I saw a second hand available, you can try bidding for it.

Neotec I got from Chong Aik.

If you want lousier service, cheaper helmet and hasn't gone through approval, you can cross the road and try your luck at Regina.

Last time I went there with my friend, we waited for them to search for a helmet colour they didn't have and they kept pushing my friend to get the colour he didn't want. He got fed up, left the shop and went to Chong Aik.

Pay more for the helmet but way less hassle.

I went to chong aik and regina to look at it few weeks ago. it cost around 700, then i went to regina tried their neotec which cost 600+ but it is quite loose for same size helmet of chong aik. so end up i didnt buy at all.

When I went to Regina to shop for a Neotec with my friend. I won't be surprised that their helmet will be more loose. Because it is like a prostitute helmet, every mother's son also go there to try.

I rather let Chong Aik staff measure my head and let me try a helmet (with the colour I want) straight from the box and I can assess and buy immediately.

And the price difference isn't much between the 2 stalls, 50 bucks... more or less. I'd rather get from the legitimate shop and get some product warranty.

On a side note, if you put on the helmet at Chong Aik and it still feels loose for you, then maybe the Shoei design isn't for you. You can consider Arai for narrower faces. There are other brands too, so don't have to stick to one unless you find that the shape fits you.
