Steering Cone

Hi .. when stationary ,i turn my handle bar (full right to left).. juz very loose ..

too easy to turn .. din hav much prob while riding .. but is it normal ? Or some prob with my steering cone ?

Or does it required tightening ? OR ?

I see that you have an interest in DIY ur simple maintenance.

 

I wud like to rekomen u for a motorcycle repair course right here in Spore.

FYI I was an ex-student of theirs. Now I can say that I have the guts to repair (simple repairs except enjin overhaul, I cannot lah) & service my own bike:10yr old Dragstar400.

 

Some repairs/servicing I DIY myself:

1. replace magneto coil

2. replace clutch plates & housing/hub

3. replace rear suspension

4. service/repair/replace front forks

5. replace rear & front brake pads/drum

6. tighten tappet

7. service carbs

8. tighten/replace steering cone

9. replace the whole front brake system including bleeding the brakes

10. change enjin oil, radiator coolant(ex steed bike), change shaft oil

11. etc etc

 

All it takes is your interest, guts & a good set of high quality tools to get u going. The course will give u that extra knowledge.

ani1 noe if super 4 can freehand ant? Cos mine can't...i dunnoe y? My steering cone is ok, wheel barring jz changed, tyre jz changed onli. Hw come?

 

Could it b the alignment? How much it cost to fix it back?
