Hey guys and gers,

a very² random tut came to my mind..

Anyone of you ever heard of, or tried to mix different brands/quality/type of E.O and use it? If u did or heard, what's the effect on the engine?

Total overhaul or nothing happen? Or tip top performance that let you clock better timing than Rossi on a Ducati 1098? hahahahaha... (Just in case, some of the folks are sensitive, the Rossi thing is just a joke, please stick to topic.)

Don't worry people,... this is just one of my very random thoughts... :cheeky:

Soooooo... anyone??

The last time I changed EO, I used 3 bottles of fully synthetic Yamaha EO. Dunno why about a month later, my oil indicator kept lighting up. When I checked my engine oil level, apparently it has become low. Since I cannot find the same Yamaha EO at the nearby bikeshops, I topped up my EO with Shell semi-synthetic EO. To me, there was no difference in the feel of the bike. I've already send my bike for full servicing and it is now at the bikeshop cos I'm doing valve clearance as well. EO changing to now is Amsoil... :)

First learn stand, then learn fly. Nature's rules biker-sans. Not mine...

its ok to mix IMHO but note that the EO which has a thicker viscosity will be below the bottle and after long use they will be together as 1 anot i dunno.

Some pple slog for the paper in their wallet.

Some slog to feed the paper to the pple w/o the wallet.

when u do ur regular EO change, a percentage of the old oil is left in the engine after draining unless engine overhaul. so when u switch to a different EO u actually mix 2 different EO to a certain degree.
