I don believe that there are bike shops out there still selling dna.. If u find one then u are really lucky.. The "newest" batch are all "X" plate but I heard that this is 1 "Y" plate meaning there is no more brand new ones.. If u get a second hand, price ranges between 2.5 to 3.2? some where there..

Hi bro, sorry- but i'm veri curious, do you go around every different forums askin' for bike's top speed?? I've seen you posting this exact question at many forums... Do you have a fetish for high top speeds? Or do you need to ride 200kmph to work everyday? Or you're a racer?

Wow, cool it with the aggressive tone man! Ha ha, how you going to get answers with a attitude like that! Anyway, let me help you out. The DNA got different top speed depending on the version:

 

Normal '00 Gilera DNA 180: 118km/h

 

Normal '06 Gilera DNA 50: 70km/h

 

The Limited edition DNA180/210 Type R (only 3 in singapore): 155km/h+++++

 

Ya, anyway, you wanna go fast? I recommend you my other ride, my piper warrior II, the top speed, or as we say Vne (never exceed speed): 160 kias or roughly 290km/h. Engine only 160hhp, yawns...

and yeah, after i took out the filter, my speed drop. haha.. from initially 122kmh i cud do, now its a mere 108++. why is this so? and there's a certain rattling sound whenever its idle, like the sound of anytime-the-engine-will-stall.

First, as for servicing, try Win Jing along Desker, nice guy, plus most of the time is straight in, no need to queue with all the X9, runners, etc! Hmmm, if is is dirty, he will wash your transmission, mine was filthy when I first serviced it, as for the filter, it is like that! If riding without the air filter, must change jets, best to ride with a filter, as long as it is in good condition can already!

 

By the way, there is a Gilera DNA red head fairing lying in his shop, slightly scratched, ask mym203 to sell or give it to you! Cheaper that way!
