funny thing is i had similar issues. my signal not consistently working. in fact, left side takes very long to signal and right side doesn't work at all.

 

i went to funmasters (if you read this thread you'll see some negative comments about that place) because i originally wanted to get balancers. ANYWAY, i went there and the fella told me no point getting balancer for my bike (tw200) as it will still vibrate. then i told him about my signals light problem. he took a look and told me my switch is spoilt.

 

so i ordered yesterday and went there just now to get it replaced. all done up within an hour. plus helped to tighten my chain and lube it. a test ride to see if everything else ok or not. seems ok to me.

 

will leave it to you if you wanna give it a try. they're at 176 sin ming drive, 03-21.

 

oh yes, another place is the SPC petrol station at jalan lebar/upper thomson junction. that place the people also very friendly. i changed my battery there. i like them very much actually. didn't go there this round cos i was already at this funmasters so conveniently asked him to help me out.

First of all, i really wanna give Uncle Lee a BIG thank You for teaching and telling me what to take note for servicing my bike and which part it is in the bike as he goes along. He is a very willing to share person even if you ask him question during half-way servicing, He says: "i rather you dunno, you ask me and i will answer all your question better than you wait outside there on a chair while waiting for your bike to be done". I'm really impressed with what he says and truly, he did really bother to explained things to me.

 

As he service my bike along the way, he really showed his whole-hearted effort to service my bike and he will recommend the best stuff (EO, Spark plug, Very-loud Horn..) to me as i do not know whats best for my bike. All i could say is he knows his stuff very well when comes to bikes And a very Friendly Guy

 

Of course, not to forget Kelvin the boss and rest of the mechanic there. Kelvin is a nice guy where he borrow me a shirt when i'm WET (raining) on the way there, he even offered me drinks and settle myself down while he push my bike away from the rain into the shop. The treatment and attention which i got from they is very much alike well-care taken for those bike doing servicing there. i believed that i'm really lucky to met such good services shop nowadays where we all know that there's not much around.

 

Last but not least, rest of the mechanic is as friendly as well and you could tell that they quite skilled in what they does as they are able to service individually. Words may not prove everthing but action does, so go see for urself and you will know!

Just wanted to post that the SPC Petrol Station Motor Repair Shop at the junction of Upper Thomson Road and Jalan Leban has treated me nicely for the two times I've been there so far. Both times were to change battery since both my bikes had their batteries die on me. The first time I pushed my bike there. Today, they came over to my place (across the road) to push it over for me since it was too heavy to push up the ramp from my carpark. Nice chaps!

Ah Huat the mechanic/owner of the shop is an honest and down-to-earth guy. His products/service are market-rate and may sometimes be a little bit more expensive, but it's worth paying. Why? For example, I recently changed to DID X-ring chain and stock sprockets and I actually told him I could get a cheaper price. He showed my 2 similar-looking sprockets in different packaging and explained the differences between the two (one is OEM, the other, a "replica"). I have been his loyal customer since my 2B days and I believe that he has not once chopped me (a little bit of course have lah. ALL motortiams chop a bit at least) and he has always given me options for the cheaper (chiong) alternatives or the stock ones. And the best thing of all: He opens everyday, Sunday and holidays included (opens after 2pm on Sunday until late evening).

 

I tried his service also and recommend to all!

sorry guys have any1 of u done a 520 conversion at unique moto how's d service n workmanship? coz i just got back fr uk and wanna do some mods on my k8 n passed by their website.

Was at Southern Winds (Alexandra) to change my battery.

He recommanded me a RR (I'm riding SP) battery, around $45.

 

While changing, he said my piston will jammed and he showed me a sort of controlplug (Below your pillion seat, there is a operator type of mini box that connects all the wires) and showed me that when I rev'd , my piston is unable to turn fully and will jam there.

 

He than told me a new one cost $200+ and they have second hands ones for only $100.

And the second hand "control" will not be in receipt cause they are not allowed to sell it to me. So I had to pay cash wit no receipt.

 

Well, the piston did jammed and when fixed with the second hand "control" it turned fully when rev'd.

 

Question is, did I get chopped for it?

Nonetheless, my bike is in pretty decent condition but can't help thinking whether I got chopped or not. Thanks

cannot forget my experience at bike shop (AMK Ave5)... he serviced my fork and tune my carbs... he use carb cleaner, the whole can... not MY fuel... bike superb... he rev till redline and beyond... btw... my bike...wp1100... Well, my friends and I decided to jump ship from Planet to H L cycle to give it a try. Initially, I was just thinking of changing my bike EO and spark plug.

 

However when ah le drain out my EO, we found that the clutch-plate has overheat. Thus, changing of clutch-plate and gasket were done. Ah le also check my radiator for leakage when I did not even pointed out to him. In the end, the radiator hose clip was loose and it was replaced with no extra costs!

 

My friend's bike also went for a servicing and my friend thought his piston was going to jam. Kelvin and team checked out professionally and found that it was his wheel bearing and steering cone.

 

Last but not least, kelvin and team give my friend and my bike a free snow wash after doing our bike. Our bike are sparklingly clean now. Thanks man !~

 

Will recommend you guys to try this out ~

say about autobay isit haha. okay i have bought my bike there from gobalmotorbike or motorshop dont know what, forgot le.i bought my bike 2 month ago at first which is 10/10 man after that wow no comment and i sell of my bike le cuse the bike really "WORKING VERY WELL" you all should know the bikeshop is good or not is up to you all yea haha. since there people intro i should go try the H L Cycle Pte LTD.btw can i ask you?? the bike shop near the back isit? cuse i never really see this bike shop.sorry =(
