hey guys got a question. was checking my fuel tank capacity in my bike's manual, it states:

 

fuel tank capacity : 10.5l

fuel reserve capacity : 2.7l

 

so to get total capacity, add up both?

 

that's what i originally thought, but when i rode it until the needle was flat at the bottom, at the bottom of the red zone (but bike haven't sputtered and stopped), topped it up and managed to fill 10.4l.

 

oh, and to add, when it hits the red zone, i have to turn my knob to reserve.

 

so i'm wavering in my confidence, haha. any ideas? it's an nsr sp, btw.

Malaysia abit sala one leh they indictor.. i got pump 18.3 litres of petrol before.

my oil tank only 18 litres.. haaa.. that means damn dry also inside..

fuel tank capacity (indicated in manual or specs) is inclusive of reserve.

like mine, tank capacity is 16L, reserve 6L. this ratio is a bit funny tho....

phantom 11.2L inclusive of 2L reserve, fyi.

hmm yeah where's everyone?

 

well was coming out of my place today, there was an accident at the cross junction where CGH is. at first i saw a fallen scoot, then as i travelled a bit more i saw another bike (rxz?), trapped under one of those monster sand trucks. ouch.

 

lucky near hospital, dunno what happened to the bikers. fire engines, ambulances all there. accident + peak hour traffic = massive jam

ok dun follow the fuel meter as it's not accurate. if u wan more accurate use yur mileage to guage the capacity of yur fuel tank, heard tat much more accurate dan the fuel meter.
