HUGHES: WARNOCK DEAL CLOSE

Blackburn Rovers manager Mark Hughes is hoping to complete the signing of Stephen Warnock from Liverpool later today.

 

The full-back arrived at the club’s training ground for a medical this morning as the squad prepared for tomorrow’s Barclays Premiership trip to Watford.

 

Hughes has marked him down as a replacement for Lucas Neill, who is set to join West Ham United.

 

The Blackburn boss said: “The deal is not done yet. We will see how the day goes. I hope there are no complications.”

Good luck to Warnock... quite a decent player with a pretty useful left leg i must say.

 

Hope he does at Blackburn but just dont score against Liverpool in th future can oredy.. haha

Benetiz has slammed the youth system....

moreover we saw how the gunners maul us for the cups games...need to really get concern....

if no good youth players up and coming then we should buy smart...get top youth players like what aserne wenger has done....smart buy...

yeah man.. arsenal mauled us using a schoolboys team!! :giddy:

 

but i'd rather prefer players from the youth team emerging and becoming superstars.. thats wat liverpool is famous of!!

 

but i have to respect arsene wenger man.. that guy really noes how to spot talents... look at henry.. viera.. ljunberg.. all unknowns.. but under his guidance.. all become stars..!!

He was previously a youth coach at Real before. So he might know what he is doing.

 

I must admit, though, whatever failings Houllier had, he was damn good at bringing out the best of LFC local youth talent. Under him we had Gerrard, Owen, Carragher & the youth squad that led the way to the Carling Cup in Benitez's first season (trouncing Boro's & Spur's more experienced first-team squads along the way).

 

Hope Benitez has the same ideals...
