Lesson 3B, I re-read Siphon's post. The criteria is just circuit memorization right? And also, the circuit is the one at the first floor right?

Thanks!

Yup, lesson 3 part 2 is at first floor circuit. Instructor will show u test route and u just need to go through it for the whole lesson. Some instructors will expect u to pass through whole route smoothly.. some just need you to know test route. Depends.. lol

I remember then using their bikes to help block off cars... I think SSDC should give them some "body armor" hahaa... and a bluetooth communication for the helmet... those walkie talkie are really not the best things for them...

Ohh! You mean they hv walkie talkie? I always tot they will jus communicate by hand signals. Lol.. traffic at wdlds ave 9 was qte heavy this morn during my rr. Hopefully smoother during tp. Haha

Weekday morning should be quite okay, it wasn't that bad. Good luck for your TP!

good luck bros sis just book more practice for revision circuit and road riding, at least 4 times before TP test.

A day before TP book one road practice cos instructor will let u practice once road riding finished knowing that your TP is tomorrow.

Yay! Good Luck all!

Passed Lesson 3B today...!!! Thanks! :) :D

Hoho!

The good!

- Welcome to freestyle riding :p my slang for circuit revision... you can do anything u want :) Makes me very happy.

Why? Because you can skip lines and practice those weaker areas :)

This is what i usually do to avoid the pile up...

1. Plank

2. Salom

3. Ebrake

Go to Start (by now the pile up already go until... halfway point?

- Follow the route 2 rounds to refresh memory and practise all the blindspot and check here check there... then split to do my weak areas. Back then was the stupid crank course... always wobble there... and thats the worst area... because always got cars parking around there.

The bad

- Lesson 4 - First time surely stress... yes... stress... they try to replicate the way the TP will set up you. Which is very good practice. Because if you compare to waiting 1 week for another lesson 4 to waiting 2 months for your next TP... yes this is much better :) So use this lesson to get use to the way things works. If you can feel relax during this lesson, you can be sure you'll do well in lesson 7 and TP :) Just need to remember the feeling.

All the best!

2nd attempt at lesson 5 today. Improved significantly but instructor still thinks I need more practise, so got to repeat again.

):

The main areas the look for.

1. Form up when exiting and entering the SSDC.

2. How confident you are when performing the left turn immediately out of SSDC and Right turn. That junction is rather tricky and almost everytime has some interesting vehicle will give u problem... so ask more question to the instructor and ask them what to do during those "scenarios". Remember during your TP test there is 1 assessor sitting opposite the road looking at u... ya... just u... alone.

3. Your checks during filtering into and out of the filter lanes.

4. Confidence and position when performing U-turn. This is one of the main reason why they hold people back in 5. Because only in this lesson you practice the U-turn... lesson 6 is more or less everything done already.

5. Your speed when approaching the final right turn (the one with the right turn light.) they will see how u respond to that light... whether you know how the traffic lights work. Eg green arrow will come out after the red light. So do u stop then go or just proceed slowly and wait for the green light to come out? I slow down and wait for the green to come out... and i passed... so i guess that should be correct :)

Hope it helps :)

Usually the Test starts at about 9+... ya you are suppose to reach by 6:45 but wait wait wait until 9+. The good of it is the morning traffic would have clear by about 930. So its better for you :)

Make sure you know where are the road works if any...

Yes u reach SSDC at 6.45 collect your tp tags, surrender your IC, also get to choose your good bike for test, warm up ...till 8AM, then wait in hold up area...

Heart pumping by then ..then fall in parade .until the Testers stand by location and call out your name and u acknowledge, then u proceed back to hold up area

instructors check clear brief for number queue, e.g. 1 to 5 go first...the rest is up to the individual testees.... good luck by then...normally everything ends about 11am...

Thanks for the tips...

I am taking CR and lesson 4 tmr... Take CR liao, rest 1 hour then take lesson 4.:pray:

I think most impt for lesson 4 is to ride meticulously and dun keep looking at the instructors like a blur cock or with that guilty conscience look. I dun really have habit of looking at them which I think is good.:pray:

Try to grab the same bike :) that way you're already more confident with it. my favorite then was 3 cause the idle was tuned higher... so it doesn't "die" that easily at second gear, especially at the exit of the fig 8.

Find your own favorite :) then use it during your TP. it will give u more confidence :)

My favourite bike was number 49, 58 and 69 haha...

As i got closer to finishing my lessons i get more and more nervous but for now i'm starting to loose confidence as i needed to repeat lessons again and again...Worry if i might fail.

I still haven't found any favorite bike cos most are still okay.

Except got 1, which I forgot the number, the half clutch was very near to full clutch in, makes it super easy to die on slope if I let go more. When I took the slope course, it died so many times. But luckily, I still pass on that lesson. :p

Think I should start taking notice of it or even try the numbers you guys mentioned. :D

Fail Lesson 4! Got one IF at S course, 13.63 seconds (CHUI!) and total points 20. :dozed:

During my circuit revision, I used bike #48, dunno why this bike just crap on me. I fell twice. I learn so long also never fall twice during lessons. :sian:

Thinking of taking 2 more CR, then go for lesson 4 again.

Also, I think I change to gear 2 for S course too fast? I change before I go into the course (outside). Should I change the moment I enter it?

Good to go for circuit revisions. To get more confidence during courses. For S course, ok to kick up to gear 2 before entering the course since there is quite a distance. Once you enter, look ahead at the various 'markers' around the S course. Be confident enough to maintain throttle and bank more. All the best for your next shot!

Ah, thanks for the tips! Will try to check out or ask the instructors for any road works. lol... Counting down to TP...

Good luck for your lesson 4! During lesson I never fall from bike but when I was doing lesson 4 I actually fell. Must be due to nervousness.

Just relax yourself and think of it as a normal lesson and go for it!

Ouch... sorry to hear you fell. But can i ask where? during which part? Maybe its really the bike. Although there's nothing much you can do about it other than just highlight that the bike has some issues... eg cannot go into gear or such... If the idle of the bike is very low... chances are when you go into gear 2 you'll experience a "jerking" motion... and tadah you lose control.

I ever had the bike just die... literally when i was turning out from the figure 8 and into the road... i think the speed was a little slow... but it shouldn't die like that... ya... that was my first lesson 4... hahaha the dreaded first lesson 4... nightmare lar...

For Figure 8. Change into gear 2 once you have enough speed on the straight before turning left. Once in. Grip tank, fix throttle, use rear brake. Should be easy to get a and yes you can bank. just BANK. don't remain upright... confirm fail if you maintain a straight posture. Enjoy the "cup corner" feeling. Unless its wet, you won't skid at such a low speed.

One more time!
