5 times to progress, could be those with not so good locomotive skills.

The fundamentals damn impt, else ur riding really chuis. Then u also need to be mindful constantly (until it becomes natural) on ur eye point. Where ur eye looks at, ur bike will go. And of cos all the riding posture.

For a start, I do feel that getting better bikes are impt. Bikes are quite impt for 2B learners cos we are (awfully) chui in the beginning. Choose those bigger numbers like #90, 92, 94 kind. Or license plate that looks the newest kind, those are newer bikes.

When you are better, and reaching TP, random pick any bikes during CR so you are used to any kinda bikes. That was my strategy back then.

My progress - i thought it's not too bad.

Lesson 1- 1x (Started in Feb)

Lesson 2- 2x

Lesson 3(I)- 1x

Lesson 3(ii)- 1x

Lesson 4- 2x

Lesson 5- 2x

Lesson 6- 1x

Lesson 7- 1x (Ended in Jun)

Class 2B - first time pass (Jun)

@FireGunz: ! 8 months, means PDL will expire halfway through. Thanks for the rouge estimation, I'll plan when to activate my PDL :)

@kumagako: Thanks for sharing the steps to get PDL! How has your lesson 1 - 4 progress been so far? Instructor told me some people took average 5 times for Lesson 1 to progress to next level. With one lesson per weekend.. I wonder if I will ever complete.

lesson five last night repeat due to following to closely and changing lane too fast in filter.

I followed the two second rule but instructor say I was too close. Next week I will use four second rule.

Changing lane, I followed parallel to the changing kerb and was still considered sharp.

Next week I will make sure my changing of lane take at least four seconds per lane change.

Rider behind me will surely complain on this.

Any inputs?

I think u did an abrupt lane change. While learning, u can't just change lane straight to the right or left side, u need to gradually change over. Believe the RTT book has this, check it out. I saw some mates doing such lane change, confirm repeat.

2 second rule good to keep in mind but also note that traffic conditions are real time, u need to react accordingly.

Lastly, you are already OTR, if you ride w/o confidence, safety and the fundamentals ( which they can tell easily ), I am sure they will also repeat you.

If you did, I'm quite sure you would have saved some time and $.

Honestly I think the instructors are screwed up leh. Cos 1 time my circuit can be almost 0 pts, road more than 20 pts, another time can be the other way round. When I'm doing almost the exact same thing.

Lol, hard to say. Few times I thought I sure repeat, I pass. So my situation abit reverse from urs.

Also felt that the OTR instructor can make a difference. I am quite lucky that I kerna this instructor during my L7, very fatherly kind.

Hi everyone,

I'm currently enrolled in CDC but I'm having trouble trying to get weekday evening or weekend practical lesson time slots which are better for me since I'm working Mon-Fri. I took lesson 1 on 3 Oct 2015 and did not pass, and I now have to wait until 31 Oct for another weekend practical and I can't find any available weekday evening/weekend time slots in between at all. At this rate I'm wondering how long it's going to take me to complete.

I'm thinking of switching over to SSDC/BBDC. Can anyone advice if it is easy to book weekday evening or weekend practical lesson time slots at SSDC? Many thanks in advance.

Hmm, i took my lessons mostly on weekday evenings and weekends. Not too difficult to get slots at SSDC. Esp if you can make it for the 6 plus timing as well.

Hi tsleo85 many thanks for your reply. Think I check out SSDC since it's frustrating to book practical lessons at CDC

netbuddybee, if you login everyday to check CDC lesson, I am sure you will get another lesson earlier than 31 October.

CDC is well known that people booked 2 to 3 lesson at 1 go, then when they passed their lesson they will cancelled the rest.

Also CDC will open up slots last min one. My time at SSDC, waiting time is like max 1 week for next lesson.

Hi simone82 thanks for your advice I've decided to switch to ssdc. I saw cdc opened some more slots till November but none in the slots I can attend. Lucky I only attend the Defensive riding theory lessons and circuit orientation at cdc and didn't waste so much time there

Hi guys,

Im starting my lesson tonight!

Have a question to ask.

where do you get the booklet for lessons to be chopped?

If its at the counter would it be possible to take it after 6pm?

Hope you guys can help.

Posted
Hi you can pass your booklet to the instructor before you start the lesson. At the end of the lesson he'll stamp the booklet and return it to you.

But I have not collected the booklet. Was wondering where to collect and if it's the counter will they be open after 6pm
