what you mean didn;t separate them completely? cos i use one relay for each signal... the funny part is that my hazard light working but single signal is not working......

wat type of relay are u using? can post a pic? NPNT :D

anyway your close relay to protect your circuit been shorted.. meaning?

just in case the extra loading cause any short circuits; the extra wires will take the burns and not my bike's original wiring. tats all.

No more regrets.

i using this type of electronic relay...

http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q246/ah_puiz/relay.jpg

just now went down and troubleshoot... then i found out that actually my signal light power is too high.. and actually need a low resistor value to make it blink and my relay internal resistance is too high..

so maybe i need to change my blinker relay or i need to lower my relay resistance...

simple la, just change to the normally open automotive industrial relay den can work liao.

anyway, i will be going over limbat's place to get the dual filament holder and bulb. since today free, i will go and try out :cheeky:

courtesy of limbat :cheeky:

the holder on the right is single plate. replace the single with the double palte on the left den can place a dual filament bulb liao.

of course, the wiring circuit has to modify abit. but wirings n everything basically remain the same.

how much is it?

he is selling his normally closed relay, made in germany at $20 a piece.

btw, i opened my signals and i realised fitting of dual filament bulb cannot be done for my bike.

$20 for a relay.. that mean $40 for two signal light?

yep. at the end of the day, it just seems not worth while doing the mod yeah? :cheeky:

to me, it doesnt really matter la.. i learnt somethin and enjoyed it! woot!

saw that electronic flasher you post... can i be use on t10 connector?

Posted

of course can la, u just got to change the connections n DIY

No more regrets.

cos i just now went down and see my original flasher is using 2 pin one... so i guess is just a plug and play to replay it right?

the connection wise for me is already T10.. so guess is a plug and play also..

can give me more spec regarding the electronic flasher?

paiseh... check with you.. your +ve source tat you tap inorder to light up your signal light you using ignition +ve or headlight?

cos i try tapping to headlight but then when i on my highbeam.. my pilot light went off.. now no choice need to tap ignition... cos i dun one to on my light b4 starting motor.. like consump lots of current later bike cannot start..

the electronic flasher is just those normal automotive flasher u see in cars. the spec i also not too sure. u haf to PM limbat

+ve i tapped from battery but thru a relay. the relay's +ve source i tapped from my horn's +ve

highlighted: ur signals are T10 meaning 12V 5watt. im not sure if that consumes alot of power. a normal 55watt halogen bulb draws 6.5amp.

.

so that mean when your switch is on (horn is on) your signal is on drawing the voltage from the batt

cos current my bulb is a 15W per light.. if the t10 is 5w so it should be lesser then the original

yep. and my signals are running 10watt each.

your signal is 10 watt is become you have change your flasher or initital is already 10watt

Posted

ok, initially each signal is 10watt. so when i left signal, its 20 watt rite?

but since i added relay, instead of 20watt when i signal, it becomes 11watt. 1 watt relay and 10 watt rear signal. so now my signal flashes very quickly. (which is the same case when u change to LEDs signals becoz LED signals are rated 1watt max. so blinking becomes very fast. and to solve this problem, ppl have to add resistance or change flasher)

when i change to electronic flasher, no matter wat the loading, the electronic flasher will compensate and flash as per normal

No more regrets.

okok
