Garmin GPS for Motorcycle

Hi All,

 

I think every 1 know the usefulness of a GPS, where you can use its for

touring, adventure, fishing, find new spot, find way home from a unknown area and latest Geocaching.

 

But which brand you are more interested in getting. Maybe can indicating the model you looking at and your budget.

 

Those who own a GPS are also welcome to give your comment and the experience you have with your current GPS system

 

If the brand not in the list, please also indicate the brand/model

Thought of MO for garmin as it the most popular. But depend whether there any ppl who interested.

 

MO model mainly like Quest2, zumo 500, zumo 550 as they are constructed mainly for motorbike and they are water-proof. so dont worry when use in under rain.

 

Quest2 offer the basic while zumo offer more features like blue tooth, MP3 player, Picture viewer and Touchscreen.

 

so far i know of a web side call malsingmaps.

their map update quite regularly and some more its FOC. but their map only for garmin gps

 

they also offer Asia country like East/West Malaysia and Thailand.

quite useful for biker/driver who want to do touring.

maybe you can give a rough estimate of your budget.

 

From Garmin web, Zumo 550 cost about 1076.91 USD.

Quest 2 cost 749.99 USD

 

IMO, I thinks its really a good equipment to invest in.

 

will notify you if there starting of MO. And hope from MO, we have have good quality equipment and at low cost.

are you refering to eTrex Legend Cx?

 

but you still need to purchase a motorcycle mounting kit which will be easily cost about 70 ~ 100 for a good mounting kit.

I'm using Garmin Nuvi 500.... Good nice price and good wide screen with touchscreen too.... I'm happy with it.... Waterproof too..... It should cost you much cheaper than a zumo..... Anywhere to get reliable maps of thailand cambodia and laos on my GPS?

can easily call SKMW to fabricate (tough & lifetime guranatte)
