Ladies and gentlemen.... can you please put your hands together and warmly welcome our year end visitor..... the Northeast Monsoon!!!!!!!!!

 

Flying in late yesterday morning on a cold windy front... she has brought not only cool winds from the northest but also cloudy skies, light to intermittently heavy showers at times. There will be 2 or 3 days of conitnuous light drizlzles followed by cool windy days of intermittent sunshine.

 

Won't be seeing blue skies for awhile.

 

Keep your drive chains, clutch and brake cables well lubed for the next few weeks.

Yeah... don't bother spending too much time cleaning your bike... it ain't worth the effort the next day.

Saw an accident on AYE. A red RXZ was down, and ambulance was there.

 

Rider was nowhere in sight.. Most probably in the ambulance.

Yes... fellow biker Brothers and Sisters, be extra cautious on the roads.

 

On wet roads, beware of the white lines. Give yourselves more distance to the front vehicles to cater for less effective braking and more reaction time.

 

Leave home for work a few minutes earlier to cater for slower traffic and bad road conditions. The last thing you want to do is rush in conditions like these.

 

It may be a good practice to 'ride the brakes' once in a while. That is... apply a bit of pressure on the brake lever while riding to heat up the brakes and keep the discs dry. Dun wanna find that you need to apply emergency brakes and find you got no bite coming from the brakes because the discs are wet and slippery.

yah.. its a gd practice... avoid metal grills and platings... use more engine brake.. practice makes perfect.. brake intermitently.. dry ur brake and gib the rear a warnin if they r gg to close.. its alwayz good to ride defensively even u r fast...

red RXZ down? hmmm hope rider is fine. wat time did u c it jingly? i take AYE to work everyday.

 

just now this big lorry keep tailgating me and he is speeding cos i was at 70 on a 60km/hr rd and these lorries ard here can go really fast and happy jolly change lane. damn tat was scary, the moment i c got hole only i had to throttle off, hate the big bugger on my tail!

While travelling home from work at around 3+am just now, in the middle lane of a 3 lane road going at exactly 70km/h, I noticed a taxi coming up behind be very very fast. BUt suddenly, it braked and followed behind me with a very safe distance....

 

Then about 50 metres ahead, I saw why. Two traffic police bikes were parked at a busstop, with two policemen using their toys. Seems like they are stepping up their speed checks nowadays.

Expect this kind of weather to go on for the next 48 hours.

 

Overcast, cool clammy winds, light to heavy drizzle. Rains will like back off in the late evening and clouds will clear but all the crappy weather will come back on again tomorrow morning for more of the same stuff.

 

I hate riding in light drizzles. Love it when the rain is heavy.
