bros..my zek's piston already seized..instead of rebore, i can just change the piston and block right? but do i change the top block or the whole block? and 2nd hand hw much wud it roughly cost?

u can change to another piston and block but why? reboring and getting a new piston is so much cheaper. u dun need to change the top block. second hand depends on whats the block no. y1$$$$ y2$$$ y3$$ y4$.

Skim and re-bore is a cheaper alternative. You can do it at least 7 times. My FZ plate done twice.

Don't rev hard, I have the manual book. I'll post the recommended rev limit. After rectifying your block, it's prefer to use mineral oil eg Yamalube instead of synthetic oil. Do change your oil after 800km. Opens up again the top block and carbeurator for another round of inspection.

In short it was worth it buy i am missing juz one item..hw much does a y2 block cost at scrapyard and hw do i get there...currently my block is local from previous owner whom claimed it was a "y2"..in nid of one asap..

Hi guys i recently gotta a RXZ. trying to keep on with the thread but there's too many pages always lost track. Anyone can tell me when to service how much mileage.

 

1)which 2t is recommended. (I read a thread about rxz 2t esso semi syn is it good?)

2)should i buy premix to pour into tank or just use normal 2t (Incase 2t pump fail)

3)advisable RPM on which speed. (Eg. gear 1,2,3..... Mech told me run in for 2-3mths keep below 90km/h, I on expressway 80-90km/h @ 5-6k RPM (Last Gear) is that OK? )

4)I washing my bike i notice my rear wheel is kinda hard to spin @ Neutral Gear. Seems like brake pads is contacted (Is it because new brakepads? )

check the fuel tube..make sure its not leaking from there..then check the drain tube..its the one facing the rear of the bike..make sure petrol doesnt come out from there also..lastly is the fuel reservoir at the bottom of the carb..

 

problem one,change fuel tube,problem two,change float pin or the float itself,problem three,ask mechanic as im not sure about the last one..

Wah! Shopping nmpk? Looking thru the thngs tat u spend on, there are some thngs whch cost cheaper here than in JB. U cn compare wif our Yamaha Agent here or any apek2 shop ard it. I said tis for those who wish to save every penny tat they cn lh. Bt yeah, goin to JB is alwys worth it wher svc is cheap and gd, petrol cheap and plenty of tasty cheap food too! XD

1) any 2t is as gd as any other 2t. Cheap, ex, mineral, semi-syn, fully syn, all works the same and tat is to lub ur piston. As long as ther is 2t goin in ur chamber, u shld b fine. Output(smoke)-wise, tat is another story... ;P

2) u did say "incase 2t pump fails" rite? Then I think u shld noe wat u shld do...

3) yeah tats ok. Tat is wat I wld do too!

4) mayb u just ought to chck the wall of the drum brake to see any dents, ur bearings/spacers is still intact and sew if ur chain is a lil bit too tight. If nt, join me and wonder as well... Hehe... ;P

change what oil after 800km?Engine oil?what for?rebore only mah...engine oil doesnt get affected unless its full overhaul..or if u were talking about 2t then..oookay.

5)My bike doesn't have as much smoke as i got my bike first day. I thinnk is good in some ways just to confirm. (Morning got smoke when start . Daytime cant see smoke maybe too bright . Nite abit abit smoke.)

7)Where to buy 2T in Local singapore ? ytd i buy mobi1 extra 2T @ Esso - 12dollar i think...

8) My right ankle got cut and blueblack due to kickstart =,=.... because when i kick start can kena my footrest... (Is there any kickstart lever which i can aviod this from happening?) or it is just practice to kick start?

Go to Auto Machinery. It's along Rowell Road. Much cheaper than Yamaha agent.

hi i wanna ask recently i change top block that is rebore to let more fuel pump in. airbox has been taken out. sprocket 36/15. setting has been done. I tried 160 at full throttle? I wanna go beyond 160 atleast 180? to fit my satisfaction. my mechanic said that its cause my rim is a ybr rim which is heavy and he advise on spoke rims. another friend of mine advise on my main jet and pin jet(which i dont have a clue on what it is). so anyone can advise?

ohya clutch plate. mechanic says change when need to change eo. cos recently change. dont want chamber cos outside wanna look standard so tp tak kacau. hahahahaha not lacer la. just wanna feel the power of z.

Tongkol,my fren and me went to the place u mentioned auto machinery but sadly,they never sell bro..We then went to a bike shop at bukit batok and they quoted 180 dollars for a new ori tank..So u gt any other places where cn confirm get a full coverset?my buddy doesnt mind buying a whole coverset..
